Pattern 9/100 Iāve been learning so much from @bonniechristine - her Immersion class yes but also all the goodness she shares for free. One gem that Iāve resonated so much with is having an abundance mindset - instead of being paralyzed by what ifs and fears (that I donāt have what it takes, that the market is saturated, that Iāll have wasted my time and energy), she encourages creatives to operate from trust and generosity. Truths that I am starting to embrace: āØ Itās all been done before, but it hasnāt been done by me. āØ I can learn anything that I put my mind to and I can find help when needed. āØ Iām open to success and ready to receive abundance. I also love that she clarifies that success is not about how much money we make or how well known we are, but how well we live and serve those around us. Wow thank you for all your lovely comments about Hank Deluxe's Cat Cabin! Lots of you have asked for instructions, so here's how I did it: You need 1 shallow cardboard box, big enough to house the pet of your choice š, cut off all the flappy flaps around the top EXCEPT a 4cm strip off the 2 long side edges - you will need these as support to glue the 'roof' onto. Next, take a large piece of cardboard which is the same width as the length of the box, score it gently along the centre line so you can fold it crisply to make the pointy roofline. Remember those 4cm side flaps you left on the box? Run some (hot) glue along both these edges, then stick the roof on, pressing firmly until the glue goes off. A glueing partner is very handy, the lovely @mqrlq worked with me... if you want a back wall on your Cabin, simply turn the box up on its end and trace around the back triangle shape onto a piece of card, cut out and (hot) glue into place. To decorate, make some crazy colourful crochet or knitted swatches, I used 19 different patterns from my book Mix And Match Modern Crochet Blankets. It's simply just a patchwork job then, gluing them on individually to the roof and the front. You could measure the roof and just make one piece of COURSE if you prefer. For the front bobble edging: make a chain the length of the front roofline apex, up one side and down the other, then work into chain as follows: skip 1st ch, *1dc (UK) in next ch, make bobble like this: ch3, (yoh, insert hook in 3rd chain from hook, pull up loop) 3 times, yoh, pull through all loops on hook, ch1, insert hook back in 3rd chain from hook, grab yarn and ss to close bobble, 1dc in each of next 2 ch; rep from * to end, glue bobble chain onto the front of your Cabin. Et voilĆ ! Your pet can now love its fabulous bespoke Cabin, or totally ignore it ā”ā”ā” Mix And Match Modern Crochet Blankets is published by @dandcbooks with yarn by @scheepjes
