I had been toying with this plan shape a couple years back in sub 6-foot sizes, usually with a 2+1 fin configuration a la NPJ. This time I wanted to shape another one, but stretch it out a bit and make it a twin fin because I’ve got a few of these sets from @true_ames lying around. This board is 6’2” x 20-5/8” x 2-5/8” with a fairly flat deck and beveled low apex rails. I’ve been enjoying a bit longer rail line lately and more volume. There is still a lot of sensitivity with this rail profile but the board also will surf well in sub-par conditions like we often have. Super stoked to finally receive my custom 9’7 noserider shaped by my mentor and the first person to teach me to shape back in 1986, Murray Ross. Thanks to @galeforceguy for the killer electric blue tint, @surfintheeye for the beautiful double resin pin lines , and most of all Murray Ross for the fantastic shape with stepdeck, 60/40 rails, and teardrop concave. The twin fin variation gets them on rail quicker, and with more forgiveness than the average single fin hull – much better suited to the average surfer and average waves, but still plenty foiled to satisfy the seasoned hull-head’s need for knife-edge trim speed.
