Each day we set priorities – the most important things rise to the top of our to do lists, and we take care of them right away. Other things take second place and we put them off until later. There is wisdom in taking stock, from time to time, of what is most important in our lives. We can determine this by what we spend our time and resources on. Some years ago, it was said that your cheque book is a pretty good indicator of your priorities – these days it is more likely your credit or debit card statement. Whatever rises to the top of your priorities, for time or finances, is your god. There is only one true God, and He must be our priority. Always put the Lord God before everything else in our lives.
