Thanks @ajracinginternational for helping to install my @skunk2racing Alpha header and @hasport_performance rear mount. No more exhaust leak and smelling fumes in the cabin 😂. The exhaust noise is also much more pure sounding and less drone than the previous setup. While the work was being done, we also went ahead and got @spoon_typeone rigid collars installed. I was a bit hesitant on getting this done not knowing much about them but the difference after is definitely felt, especially on the CSX being 17 years old. It's a subtle difference that's felt... Steering was more responsive/direct and bumps on the road were being absorbed better by the suspension. Less vibrations felt in the car is a win for me. Little weekend dump 🤙🏼 Decided to take a trip to Detroit this past weekend with my girl @xo_vicc to get a change of scenery and get away. Headed straight down to Woodward Ave Saturday evening and boy does that strip never disappoint, hundreds of cars going both ways down the strip, my head was on a swivel all evening LOL Come Sunday, my buddy @simple_civic invited me to a local cars and coffee @detailgaragedetroit was hosting and it was a great turn out, first time seeing a mobile dyno, that was sick! Finally meeting my boy @simple_civic after years of following him on ig was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. My favorite view - this cars interior for being a 2011 looked so foreign to me when I was looking at purchasing a new car 7 years ago. Having a digital speedometer being on the top in big, bright red numbers and below only being the tach. Another favorite part is the tach will light up with the Si logo. The stock radio would let you put in any text you wanted. Mine would always say “Coeurmort” at start up. It’s pretty outdated now for what vehicles are equipped with. But, the interior is a solid selling point. And who can forget the rainy views of Washington? Shortly after I purchased the car last year I noticed that underneath the carpet in the trunk, the floor was black and the sound deadening had been removed. So it was definitely tracked in a previous ownership but had been put completely back to stock. Fast forward to this winter when I decided to gut the interior from the B pillars back, I took up the carpet and noticed the rest of the floor had been sprayed and the sound deadening had been removed aswell. Less work for me I guess 😅🤷🏼‍♂️ Shoutout my baby @fa5vic for spraying a few of the interior pieces black for me to match the rest of the black interior, they came out perfect 👌🏼🫶🏼 Another part I’ve always wanted was the @steeringsolutions cruise control bracket. Ever since I put on my quick release, I lost all access to my afr readings, and my ability to change my launch control/2step settings. So this bracket will definitely make life a lot easier knowing I can use cruise control and have control over all of those things aswell.
