Streets of Brisbane City were shut down this morning as police conducted a quiet operation to investigate the cause of a tragic bus crash that claimed the life of 18-year-old Tia Cameron on March 8. Police closed Edward, Ann and Adelaide Streets just after 7am to photograph, re-enact and examine aspects of the fatal crash, before re-opening the area at around 8am. Two males and a child have been rescued this afternoon after their boat started sinking around 20 nautical miles off the coast, due-east of Coledale. A 38-year-old man and 14-year-old boy were winched by Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter and taken to La Perouse, while another man was picked up by a passing boat. #9News

A Virgin Airlines flight VA455 from Brisbane to Darwin has been forced to turn around and make an emergency landing overnight. Virgin confirmed that the aircraft was experiencing a cabin pressure issue, which required the plane to fly at a lower altitude. The plane was forced to land back in Brisbane, where Queensland Fire and Rescue were waiting as a precaution and injuries were reported. #9News
