A well of emotion welled within me today. Witnessing an elder woman, bathed in the light of the ocean, her gaze absorbing the vastness, stirred something profound within my soul. For a time, I simply admired her quiet strength, a beacon of resilience amidst the waves. Drawn to her, I approached her. Language a bridge and with a humble heart, I attempted to convey the depth of my admiration, the desire to capture her essence not just for her, but for myself as well. A single gesture from her, a self-deprecating touch to her stomach, spoke volumes. Yet, the truth shone brighter. I offered her these words, “Fuerte y bonita,” , strong and beautiful, the essence radiating from her very being. She permissed me to capture her serene connection with the infinite on her own device as well as mine. And as I walked a way from her , a torrent of tears cleansed my spirit. If it feels uncomfortable, it is worth exploring! Taking stock of how different my clients' preferences are when it comes to the resources used... Yesterday, over breakfast, one of my clients and I were reflecting on his journey. He was super excited to share all that had come to fruition and we had an interesting conversation about the tools we had used during his coaching programme. ❓Which had he found most useful? ❓Which had he found the most empowering? ❓Which had helped him change? His insight was that the most useful tool for him: ✅ that had generated the most creativity in him, ✅ he had worked with the most, ✅had regularly revisited, and ✅gave him the most success in moving forward was 'his', 'wheel of anything'! He remembered the 'visual chairs' exercise, which had brought up some discomfort in him and how he had refused to move chairs! The sheer embodied emotion of refusing to move gave him the most insight into himself... Reflecting further, he offered that he gained the best perspectives by doing the 'perceptual positions' exercise. Just like we are all different, we learn differently, we like different things and we work at different paces. And it's spot on❗ Keeping the context, business. If we focus on communication internally with our stakeholders and externally with clients it's so important to understand 'how' and 'what' we communicate and to 'whom'. The idea behind communication is to convey a message or influence someone to take some action and if we're not reflecting and realizing how we are delivering 'the message', especially where it's not having impact, we're massive a trick❗ A huge trick❗ If I put myself in the customers shoes where i've been pitched a product or service, where there is a breakdown in communication, either in style or the message itself or where there was lack of clarity of the facts or figures, I didn't go ahead. Like to my childhood home. About a year before my mom left this world. In some ways I feel like I was reborn the moment I watched her pass, and also in that instance, I SAW, her fear, her pain, and her remorse. And just like that she was gone. But then I thought, maybe that’s just my projection. After A LOT OF FUCKING WORK, did I realized she only reflected my fears. It was, IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL lessons she could have ever shared with me. Witnessing something so sad and beautiful in one moment can feel so contradictory which only confuses me more. So I looked deeper into that. I’m a seeker. It’s what I do. In the same day I felt Like I was re-born, I also felt like I had just started the process of reverse engineering my life. I had to re parent myself all Over again Without her and recognize the opportunities I have with every breath I take. I didn’t know what I wanted, I wasn’t aware of how strong my self limiting beliefs were, and I couldn’t tell the difference between what I was conditioned to believe or were my OWN thoughts and feelings. I didn’t realize how DEEPLY ROODED my traumas were. And I DIDNT know how to GET OUT OF MY OWN way! Healing is not liner. And it’s SOOOO different for EVERYONE! For me it was more spherically, messy, and awakening. I recognize I was only at war with my self. When all I wanted was PEACE and LOVE. Same as my Mom.
