Finally went to the Georgetown French Market after talking about it for several years. Had an amazing Falafel at Shouk and great iced Lavender Honey Latte at Compass Coffee. Best part of the day was discovering the cutest old man named Tashov who didn’t speak a lick of English sitting on a corner selling his little paintings. Picked up this gem which I adore. Tashov was so happy I bought his picture. You would have thought I gave him a million dollars. He wanted this picture of him holding my newspaper wrapped treasure and a paper invitation with info about where he will be bringing his art in June. Went to the Georgetown French Market on Saturday which was a total madhouse since the weather Friday and Sunday was horrible. The food lines were an hour long so we wound up getting açaí at @oakberryusa - Lily said @oakberryhr is better but everything tastes better in Europe! I shopped in a few stores and will share what I bought in my stories. We checked out the annual Georgetown French Market + had so many food options but still ended up having a bite at Maman which is only fitting. We shared the jessi eggplant caprese panini (he loves eggplant). How do I get a loaf of that bread? We then escaped the crowds + wandered to Tudor Place + strolled through the garden grounds. The air was crisp + the soil soft after a day’s worth of endless rain.

Checked out the @officialgeorgetowndc 20th Annual French Market yesterday and came across a buzzing new cafe called @_mamannyc_ (Maman) on Wisconsin Avenue. . Had to make a quick stop and happy we did. . I had the Turkey, Cheddar Dijon Breakfast Roll and Cappuccino and the Mrs. had their Croissant and Tea. . Good shop and market to checkout if you’re in the area, albeit it’s raining today. . Plenty of street vendors and most of the shops had sales. The market is spread out on Wisconsin from O Street to Reservoir Road. .
