Main Reading Room/Hall at Library of Congress, Thomas Jefferson Building! This is not a library but a palace as I see it! Truly magnanimous architecture! This particular view is taken from a floor up top through glass panels. Access to this room is restricted. One can only view it exactly as it looks and through glass panels. One can still visit rest of the building which again has more of palatial look. If you ever visit Washington DC, do visit Library of Congress, Jefferson Building which is right behind US. Capitol. They have free tours of Capitol and Library of Congress both. Both Library of Congress and US Capitol are connected by underground tunnels so if its raining, don't worry you can go from one place to the other without getting wet. You can even go from Library of Congress to James Madison Building (with majestic pillars, the photo of which I had posted recently) using underground tunnel.
