So last Friday was @allezlabikeshop ‘s first time ever letting anyone into our new space and it was for the release of a pair of athletic sunglasses I worked on with @districtvision. So I’m all kinds of giddy. These glasses have been in the works since I was @goldensaddlecyclery, if you were wondering why they are branded #goldensaddlecyclery. We were way to far down the production line to change it. So in honor of Golden Saddle Cyclery and @mcfetridge we left the badge as is. More on all of this later, but right now lets talk about everyone showing out for @allezlabikeshop !!! @juantwo3four5 from @wahnitodelbarrio made the most delicious potato tacos, he even made a Yuzu Black Pepper Yamz joint for the event! Got damn…they were good. @trashpandacycling came through and started their Friday ride from the shop. If y’all noticed, there is quite a bit of Indiana Cycling memorabilia in the store, that’s because @shawn182 and I are both from Indiana. But now, we love riding in Los Angeles!!! I was too busy taking to people during the event, so @arrenroberson was there helping us out with photos. It felt like I hadn’t seen a lot of y’all since GSC closed, thank y’all for aiming out. I appreciate all y’all. Ok, give @shawn182 @annamariastyles and I this month to get the shop sorted and we’ll hopefully be open top the public by early July!!!
Oh my goodness!!! It’s was absolutely beautiful seeing everyone last Friday for the @districtvision launch of the Linto eyewear they did in collaboration with @kylebkelley. Seemed like everyone was so excited to see each other all in one place again, we all forgot to try on the glasses though. Hahaha… @shawn182 really did the shop up nice with all the coolest cycling memorabilia in the game. Probably even had Justin from @varsitylosangeles shook a little bit. @juantwo3four5 did up some beautiful Japanese Sweet Potato tacos for the folks @districtvision. They were unbelievable. We had our @virgilnormal Man Flap Caps on hand and it looks like we’ll be opening with quite the bicycle library. So many parents showed up with their kids, we’re really looking forward to getting more parents on bikes with their kids. @danegbreyes brought us all some home baked cookies and had the best #goldensaddlecyclery Tee on!!! The @districtvision Team killed it, thank y’all!!! So that was fun, but it’s time for us to get to work. We’ll be in the shop the month of June building it out and getting everything ready and will not be open to the public. We are shooting to be open at the beginning of July. We’ll keep y’all posted. Juan also does @wahnitodelbarrio and expect him to be cooking at our place sometime soon. Not sure y’all heard, but we lost a real one recently. Romeo, the @goldensaddlecyclery shop cat and best friend to all of Silver Lake has recently left this world. Romeo started coming to the shop the same month we found out our lease was being cut short, and we’d ultimately have to close the shop. He breathed new life into us, even though we were working towards an end. It wasn’t all happiness, it was absolutely terrifying watching him cross Lucile everyday. @100tacos would carry Romeo home everyday after we closed, until #goldensaddlecyclery became Romeo’s home. With less than a month left until we’d close the infamous GSC door one last time, we had to start looking for another home for Romeo. Our good friend @mountainbuilding and his family brought Romeo in, and Romeo quickly became Javi’s new best friend. Little did we know, Romeo was getting sick, and would keep getting sicker. Javi and his family were a blessing in Romeo’s life. They did all the heavy lifting in his later days, and were blessed to have financial help from all of y’all! Because of that GoFundMe, Romeo was comfortable until the last day. So we just wanted to say thank you, if it wasn’t for all y’all’s generosity, I maybe would’ve not got to see Romeo one last time. As a thank you, @mountainbuilding, @chaaaarlie has airbrushed you this beautiful Romeo Tee. Romeo was truly a special cat and brought the GSC Family so much joy. Thank you @__lasian for sharing Romeo with us, he made so many people so happy, and thank you for caring so much about him. I’ll never forget your Romeo rescue story, he truly loved to party. You’ll be missed Romeo, but we know you’re at peace, and will most likely be reincarnated as yourself and we’ll see you again soon. Hope everyone uses their Romeo bottle in their ride today. 💚 💛 ❤️

TOMORROW!!! @fabrica.de.rosas and us have teamed up with @simworksusa to bring y’all the Taco “Pedal” Tuesday ride!!! We’ll be paying our respects to the late #goldensaddlecyclery by meeting @bigmacsliquor at 5:30PM, where we’ll pour one out. After that we’ll be rolling to Elysian, then Highland Park and back. ⚠️ Read to end for ride info. ⚠️ @collinjcox probably first walked into #goldensaddlecyclery when he was 13 years old and was a staple there until the end. Collin was getting bored of his only bike, a geared freewheel joint and decided it was time to get on a Track Bike again. Which @fortunachris’s helped him land on this @engine_11. Once a fixed gear freestyle kid, you’re always a fixed gear freestyle kid. Collin’s most definitely still got it. For tomorrow’s #TGSCIFride we’ll be riding Elysian, Debs, and maybe Ascot Park depending on time. We’ll be riding a lot of single track, so bring a bike you feel comfortable riding off road. We’ll be meeting @thankyou_coffee at 9AM and we’ll roll at 9:30AM. If you bring a Track Bike, you better be as good as @collinjcox at riding one. There may just be a big surprise on this ride as well, if anybody likes surprises!
👾CRUST BIKES “Evasion”👾 . . グローバル担当スタッフ、カーネルのイヴェイジョン。 さすが英語でやり取りする仕事だけあって、発音がネイティブ。 ハンドルは間もなくオンラインでも販売開始のNitto B802の31.8バージョン。 やっぱなんかしらのバッグは欲しいところで、SwiftのフロントバッグとOutershellのステムバッグを。 小物とかステッカーに彼が日頃やり取りしてる海外の仲間たちへのリスペクトが見えて◎。 フロントハブがSonじゃなくてSpとか、リアもShimanoだったりでがんばり過ぎないバランス感がいいですね。 明日夜に公開される彼も参加したライド動画があるんだけど、過去イチくらいよかったのでお楽しみに。 . . 今週末もブルーラグ全店、12〜19時でやってます。 Crust x U.RomanceさんのAlumalith、店頭のみで扱ってます。
Just a reminder that tomorrow’s #TGSCIFride is an evening ride meeting @bigmacsliquor at 5:30PM and rolling at 6PM. We’ll be riding Road and Track Bikes, doing Double Blacktop. Hitting Elysian Blacktop first and Griffith second. See y’all tomorrow, but now for the important part. @mountainbuilding and his family brought in our beloved Romeo after #goldensaddlecyclery closed. Over the past couple of months Romeo’s Kidney disease has gotten worse and the vet bills have piled up. Currently @mountainbuilding is having to give Romeo fluids daily, and if y’all have ever had to do that to your cat, you know how horrifying that is! That needle just seems way too big. Javi has setup a GoFundMe(Link in his profile) to help with all of Romeo’s vet bills. If Romeo brought any kind of joy into your life, be it on here or in the shop, please consider donating. Last Sunday @grin.27 and @_codypham teamed up with @usal.project at their new World Headquarters in Silver Lake and put on a beginners bike maintenance course. This event SOLD OUT and all proceeds were then donated to @labikeacademy. Topics discussed were fixing a flat(QR and Through-Axel), inner tube sizes, the different kinds of inner tube valves, PSI, and how to properly safety check a bicycle. It was so awesome to see so many #goldensaddlecyclery customers there, nothing could have made my day better. Thank @grin.27 @_codypham and @usal.project, looking forward to the next one.
When you know there isn’t a security guard because it’s Easter, but you’re on a road ride! Run what you brung @crustbikes warranty voiding the Canti Ligntin’ Bolt!
