There is no spiritual “journey”. Unlike the way you develop worldly skills over time (ex. sports, crafts, trades etc.), you don’t need to “become” spiritual.⁣ ⁣ You are spirit.⁣ ⁣ The only reason you do not directly experience yourself as spirit is because you are identified with the personal self instead.⁣ ⁣ The ‘me’ / ego / psychological self / phantom self / body-mind construct.⁣ ⁣ In the traditional sense of the word, there is no “work” required to know yourself.⁣ ⁣ No stages or levels you must pass through.⁣ ⁣ One is either conscious, or they are not.⁣ ⁣ Meaning, one is either aware of of awareness itself, or they are consumed in the dream of personhood, which is nothing more than thought.⁣ ⁣ Love, surrender, compassion, joy, presence, stillness, unity, oneness, abundance, and all other spiritual concepts naturally arise in you when the personal self is transcended.⁣ ⁣ Until then, these concepts often become food for the ego — ideas it uses to strengthen itself + see itself as “more spiritual” or superior than another.⁣ ⁣ To cognitively learn spiritual concepts still has its place. It can (and often is) a doorway through which one meets truth. There are times when it’s a necessary part of the evolution.⁣ ⁣ Real freedom, however, is not found in the accumulation of more information, but in the stripping away of knowledge.⁣ ⁣ True intelligence is not the mind, but the Consciousness that animates the mind.⁣ ⁣ To no longer feed the personal-self, but watch it intensely instead, is the way to freedom.⁣ ⁣ Right now, you may only see a fraction of its activity, but eventually, you will see more and more.⁣ ⁣ The more you see, the less you are identified.⁣ ⁣ The less you are identified, the more you are free.⁣ ⁣ This is not a one-and-done thing. It is a living, moment-to-moment awareness.⁣ ⁣ In this moment, Awareness either is, or it is not.

I don’t have perfect pitch. But there comes a magic moment in learning a piece when my body remembers how it feels to make that first sung note. If I quiet myself and let my mind, memory, and body work together, it is there. Now, after months of concentrated work, I can walk to the piano to check that first ‘G’, and I will usually find that it is right. The rest of the melody is also a choreography of muscle and memory flowing together, likes ballet, something that I find almost miraculous when it works. What an incredible privilege it is to become a mom, a gift too often craved by many and fleeting for many more,but a privilege to those who long for a baby and get to hold their babies and take them home. While it is a gift afforded to many, it brings with it a world of transformation and learning that can be so hard to navigate for us all at times. It can bring a rebirth for us as women & for our partners as we embark on a new way of living with a new human being 👶 in our lives. Adjustment to pregnancy & parenthood, along with the possibility of Fertility challenges, previous perinatal loss, anxiety, depression, grief, personal circumstamces, traumas & potentially difficult birth experiences are just some of the factors that may influence our way of being and ways of adjusting to parenthood and our mental health. Are you fighting against your chronic pain or symptoms? The fight response is part of our sympathetic system. When we engage in fighting against our symptoms, our nervous system becomes more dysregulated resulting in pain and symptoms worsening. "Kasia, Jutta, and Lynne – along with their amazing group of horses – provided an absolutely transformative experience in their full day of Life Coaching with Horses. I joined our group of Hospice volunteers at their ranch not knowing what to expect, with a bit of experience riding horses but not much familiarity with the animals and their inner and outer worlds. It’s hard to describe fully what transpired on the day (and I don’t want to give anything away), but I was left feeling more deeply connected with myself, with nature, with my fellow volunteers, my wife (who also joined), and with – as “woo” as it sounds – the Universe itself. I always felt safe and challenged in all of the right ways, and was amazed at how much horses can teach us about ourselves, our society, and who we want to (and really can) be. I would recommend this experience for anyone – whether they have experiences with horses or not.
