About our Equipment Range Equipment Our range is equipped with a fully automated target retrieval system, high-efficiency air filtration system and ballistic glass shooting stalls. Each shooting lane is equipped for casual shooting, as well as tactical shooting training and practice with handguns, rifles and shotguns. The target retrieval systems are quick, accurate and easy to operate. The illumination can be varied between blue light, low light and no light. The air filtration system is state-of-the art. Dust, dirt, smoke, pollen, odors, bacteria, mold and many other contaminants are constantly filtered from the air inside the shooting bays. The HEPA filters in the final stage recycle every cubic inch of air every 90 seconds. Lane dividers of bullet resistant glass create a private environment that allows shooters to feel comfortable and reduces distractions. The court’s decision allowed SafeSide Tactical in Lynchburg to reopen and operate with certain restrictions. While this ruling is viewed by Green Top’s leaders as encouraging news for those who disagree with Governor Northam’s Executive Order declaring indoor shooting ranges as non-essential, it does not give Green Top the authority to open up its indoor range in Ashland, VA for normal operations at this time. The ban imposed by Governor Northam’s EO #53 has curtailed essential safety training to new gun owners as well as qualifying training for some security and police force members.
