This is the last ‘house’ pic I took apart from outside as I have bought a few new plants 🌱 but they are yet to grow before they look somewhat good 😂 can we talk about the overwhelming feeling of EVERYTHINGGGG being expensive! It really gets to me, every day I wish I could go out into my garden, all decked out, cute shed with a flower basket, a beautiful garden furniture set on the decking, palm tree glowing in the sun! Wild flowers over the grass, a thriving hydrangea bush taking centre stage, when in reality, it’s just grass and nothing more because it costs like £25 a plant! Crazy! I hope I am fortunate enough in my soon future to just build a somewhat wholesome floral garden that takes my mind elsewhere! Anyone else feel like this? Please tell me if you do! What’s the phrase? Comparison is the thief of joy/peace? 😂 this is also why there is no pics of the upstairs of our house cause we basically have no room that is even presentable 😂oh well, we will all get there at some point!!!

OPTIONS DAY 🥳 We have FINALLY made our choices for our #firsthome Carpets: We were initially going with #Hazelwood after seeing a post on here, but when going to put them on the wishlist, they looked so orange! Skip to today and we have changed our minds to the #harbourgrey carpets instead for bedrooms 1,3 landing and stairs! Tiling; we just picked standard for the three bathrooms with a view to changing them in the future. We got a little surprise when our sales advisor asked how we wanted them laid! LVT / vinyl; we were a little disappointed as our original choice wasn’t suitable for wet rooms. Luckily one of the show homes had another option down so picked that instead for the en suite and the lighter version we picked for the hallway and the WC. We’ve decided to add 4 x dimmable down lighters in the kitchen and an extra double socket in the living room and bedroom 1. For bedroom 2, main bathroom, lounge and kitchen we have decided to source elsewhere due to limited options. We did get a tiny shock with the different flooring choice bumping the cost up but it’ll be worth it when it’s in. We walked through two show homes last night looking at different options and if a new build was something to consider? I only took these few photos attached which aren’t actually the best bits but you’ll get the idea 😉 We’re excited to buy a ‘Canadian’ house, at some point, but it’s such a big and expensive decision. House sales move really fast here too. Homes which haven’t sold after around two weeks are generally considered overpriced and uncompetitive. Also the process of buying and selling is completely different than in England. You can be moving in 3/4 weeks here and you’re pretty much locked in from day one.
