After a few very hard years for our family, which I will humble myself and say is mostly my fault… We have taken the necessary HARD steps to save our marriage and family from destruction. We finally feel FREE and that’s all because of our Lord Jesus Christ. When you don’t heal from your past, you bring it into your marriage and end up hurting so many people. You become someone you don’t recognize and anxiety, depression, isolation, selfishness and the enemy running your life, becomes normal. This past Sunday, Jon and I had the honor of allowing God to wash us clean. If he can save our situation, I am telling you he can save ANYTHING! Welcome to Week 5 everyone and here is last week's JUMP recap for you! 🙌🏻 During the session, Joel kicked off the semester's theme to "Abide in Him" by talking about one of the most crucial ways we can abide in God - to abide in His word 📖. Not only did we learn the importance of reading and abiding in His word, but we also learnt to recognise and reflect the struggles we face when reading it🙇🙇♀️. Following this, Joel shared the beauty of the scripture through 3 different themes in the old testament: Tree of life 🌳, Lamb of God🐏 , Types of Christ✝️ and how they all find their fulfillment to Christ and display God's consistently loving and faithful character.
