The smell of fresh pine, hand dug edges, weeding, and bed sculpting was satisfying work. We will return to help the clients level their beautiful healthy lawn on the side of the garage. Today we started off with a cleanup and then onto a beautiful property for some weeding, garden bed creation, and fresh natural pine mulch. Today's mulch was procured at Bells Lawn and Garden Center. Tomorrow we will return to finish this meticulously cared for property in Worcester. After job completion, we will post all the photos. We will planting our signs all over Worcester County starting tomorrow. We need to order more signs soon. The neighbors were impressed with our work and we handed out a lot of business cards as a result. It's rewarding when your hard work is immediately noticed by so many. 🙌 Thankful and blessed for all the work we have ahead of us. We will be back onto lawn cleanups after this job is completed. Splash splash the Ford's and snowblowers took a bath. Yesterday, we tackled a snow and ice event. The trucks, plows, and snowblowers always get a good cleaning afterwards. Today was a beautiful day for chopping some wood. We took down a number of trees that were no longer healthy. 2 of them had fallen over the winter and 1 struck out clients deck. We took care of the remainder of the trees so that they wouldn't fall and destroy a fence or hit the neighbors house. Our @echousa chainsaws were cruising through the day. Today has been productive. We cleaned the red F-250, the blue F-350, washed down 6 snow throwers, and had an oil change done on the Ford Escape. We changed a battery in my dad's Ford Fusion. We stopped on Rt 16 Davis Street in Douglas to pick up an abandoned mattress. People who dump their trash illegally are bottom feeders of our society folks. This is our town and we take pride in it. Douglas needs a lot of cleanup, we are going to help as much as we can in 2024/beyond. We want our kids to grow up in a safe and beautiful community. So, we put our words into action. Today has been smooth sailing. We started the day at the local post office. My son James and I ventured off to clean the salt off from last storm. My son sat very patiently in the truck while I cleaned/dried everything by hand. On January 9, we take a moment to appreciate law enforcement. Police everywhere risk their lives to serve and protect. We tip our caps to those men and women who serve honorably and for the community! I am proud to have worked as a police officer. I was fortunate to have many silver lining moments as a police officer. The job is a tough one and I am fortunate to have an understanding of the career. We clean the F-350 Lariat truck bed constantly throughout the season. Unfortunately, the plastic liner in truck beds allows for pieces of mulch, dirt, trash, pine needles, and etc to become trapped underside. Leaving the debris encourages moisture to become trapped and the materials break down. Mold and rust occurs if left unchecked. The tiny rocks, mulch, and etc cause paint to wear. The second photo shows an example of two months build up from work. As you can see our last mulch job was the color red 😂. When you see bare metal, be sure to clean/paint/clear coat. Protect your investments. Next year we are having this truck sprayed with a liner to avoid all this unnecessary hassle/work. Today we performed estimates in Dudley, Auburn, and Worcester. Today was beautiful for the last day of November. ☀️We completed our final mowing/trims for the season. With the perfect weather we were able to knock out leaf cleanups, a large boxwood hedge removal, and more. Our @gravelymowers will now receive a nice wash down and all the year end maintenance. Our @echousa equipment will still be crushing away at leaves alongside our @billygoatindustries walk behind blowers. The chainsaws have a lot of work ahead of them with a number of jobs waiting for us. Tomorrow we will be working on our snow throwers and our @fishersnowplows . Our crew has been busy clearing leaves from properties in Worcester to ensure we stay on track with the Worcester leaf collection schedule. Featured here is 3 properties with monster piles of leaves in front of them awaiting pickup. 💪😎 City taxes include this feature for Worcester residents. Typically a front end loader with a special attachment claw will pick up the piles and drop it into a dump truck. Thereafter, a sweeper will come and gather any remaining mess. All of this organic material is processed and used in making rich composted loam. It is important to make sure the leaf piles are trash free and no branches. Sticks, acorns, pine cones, and the like are ok. For any questions please refer to the city's social media pages or website. Today marks the first official snowfall in our area. Most of it was washed away by rain, but we now know winter can strike at any time. The wind was all over the place today, but the warm weather was awesome! 🌞 We conquered 2 large properties featured here in Milford, as well as additional cleanups before/after. Today was a fun day. The wind was all over the place 😂. However, our @echousa 9010's pushed back with hurricane like force 🌀 and we won the battle 💪😁! After we cleared each lawn, we then mowed and trimmed for a final time. We still have 33 more lawns to push through and then we will be onto the final round of leaf cleanups. The landscaping season was plagued with rain, but we persevered and continued to grow! Extremely grateful. We are feeling winter ❄️ kicking in and will be prepping our @fishersnowplows this week. Today we stopped in to see the pros at Toni's State Line Power Products. We had a tire go flat on one of our @gravelymowers and the shop had us back up in no time! We count on Toni and her crew for quality repairs, parts, and new equipment purchases. Proud to support a woman owned family business. 🙌 We also talked with the @echousa representative. He was thrilled to hear how much we love the products and to find out how many we have 😂. He gave me a new hat right away. He is also going to assist us in procuring some give away items for the @bvchamberofcommerce expo in March. We purchased a brand new ECHO HCS-2810. This new single blade trimmer is equipped with a gathering guard on the opposite side. The guard is going to save us a lot of time clearing clippings. Usually we need to hand pick the clippings. Today we are at the hospital awaiting the arrival of our baby girl! 🥰🥳🍼🎉 We did a lot of work at this property in Douglas. We weeded the property, edged the beds by hand, trimmed the bushes/shrubs, removed a Boxwood (Boxwood Blight,) weed prevention fabric cut/stapled, and then a beautiful 3-4" layer of black mulch. What a transformation! Soon this client will be adding a custom carved wooden bear where the old decorative well was. The bear will be holding a functioning lantern in one hand and have a cardinal in its palm of other hand. They will also be adding a carved chicken with a welcome sign near front door. How cool is that?! Excited to see the bear 🐻 and chicken 🐔 in the spring. We also mowed and trimmed the property. Clients were happy, the neighbors were impressed, and we are so grateful for it. Today we procured 3 yards of black mulch from Landscape Depot in Milford. We then visited Whitcomb House in Milford to establish a game plan for courtyard work. Next, we stopped by CHASE Corp in Oxford and Home Depot. We mowed and trimmed in Auburn. Finally, we arrived in Douglas to begin prep work for mulch. At the property in Douglas we removed an old decorative well. We began the removal of a Boxwood that unfortunately succumbed to Boxwood Blight. We hand dug an edge around the bed areas and will return tomorrow to dig out the roots. After, we will staple in a max weed blocking fabric and apply a 3-4" coating of black mulch. Today was a productive day and tomorrow will also be. Baby Brianna Rose is coming this week. The countdown continues. Life is Good! We've been melting with this heat and humidity. Day after day we brave all the elements. Mother nature can be beautiful and mentally exhausting. However, it's important to smile. Here is a handful of photos from today's work. We had to remove a lot of vines from these burning bushes. This home is located in a heavily walked neighborhood. It is also located next to a senior assisted living home. With that, we have to push these bushes back past the sidewalk line 2-3 times a year. This is done so that people in wheelchairs can easily get by and have full visual site. We also did additional bushes and vine/brush work. Today was extremely productive despite the excessive heat/humidity. Hydration is key to working in all elements. Thankful for a cold stocked cooler everyday. Yesterday we transformed a wonderful families property. They had garden beds that had seen better days. We reclaimed many garden beds and also added a new one surrounding a large statement rock (part of the ledge the house was built upon.) We hand dug everything. We used weed prevention fabric/staples. Another successful mowing day in the books. Today my crew worked on lawns in Paxton and Worcester. This house pictured is 1 of 54 properties owned by a lawyer we work for. We have been proudly maintaining his properties year round for over 3 + years. We also did some gardening and brush cutting for other clients in Worcester. Tomorrow we have a Pine mulch job in Douglas. We will be using a commercial weed prevention fabric and staples. This will help suppress weed growth with a layer of mulch 3" depth on top the fabric. We will be hand weeding/ edging the beds and can't wait to share before/after photos. We love serving our wonderful clients and appreciate all the work we have on our plate. Life is Good! Today has been enjoyable thus far. We mowed & trimmed residential clients in Milford. Afterwards, we went to mow & trim Whitcomb House (retirement/assisted living facility.) We are calling it a day at 3 pm. I have to watch my son for a few hours while my wife heads to the doctor's office. She is going in to have our baby on the way checked out. Even with the poor air quality, our crews have been out mowing/trimming. Featured first is a property we took on today for a new home buyer. Unfortunately, the previous owners did not upkeep the landscaping and that resulted in 3/4 foot tall grass in many spots. The @gravelymowers and @echousa trimmers were up to the monstrous task. Another mowing day in the books 🙏. We worked in Worcester, Holden, and Paxton today. Some chainsaw work was done on damaged trees/limbs that fell from the last storm in Paxton/Holden. Tomorrow we start the day with some equipment maintenance. We have 1 truck down for routine maintenance with @ingear_12 and will have it back up before days end. Today was an amazing day to be alive and working on this beautiful Spring day. 70 degrees with sun and a nice occasional breeze 🌞🌬️. Today we ripped out a rhododendron and replaced it with an American Holly Blue Princess. We dug a hand edge for a mulch bed and mulched requested areas for this former US Senator/D.A. 🇺🇲🦅 We will return to add a flowering shrub once the client has chosen a planting for us to procure. We stopped by @echobrook.nursery for the Holly. We stopped by the pros at Bark Mulch Unlimited on RT 20 for the fine grind red cedar mulch. We also provided a sealcoating price, hot crack fill, and driveway repair patch. We also did some other small tasks today and everyone was extremely happy to see us.
