It was a beautiful day. We most certainly didn't let it get away. Today we were able to complete a removal of Boxwoods. Unfortunately , they were all dying from Boxwood Blight. We hand dug all the roots with shovels and pick axe ⛏️. After, we were left with large holes in the garden bed. We procured some enriched screened loam and Pine mulch from @siteonesupply Landscape Depot in Milford. We first leveled and filled the holes with the new loam. Then we put a new coat of mulch on top. With a mild winter so far, we felt it necessary to leave this client with a sharp look till we can add plantings in the spring 2024. We stopped into Toni's State Line Power Products today to drop off and pick up some of our @echousa equipment. We also purchased oil filters for our @gravelymowers. Today was beautiful for the last day of November. ☀️We completed our final mowing/trims for the season. With the perfect weather we were able to knock out leaf cleanups, a large boxwood hedge removal, and more. Our @gravelymowers will now receive a nice wash down and all the year end maintenance. Our @echousa equipment will still be crushing away at leaves alongside our @billygoatindustries walk behind blowers. The chainsaws have a lot of work ahead of them with a number of jobs waiting for us. Tomorrow we will be working on our snow throwers and our @fishersnowplows . Our crew has been busy clearing leaves from properties in Worcester to ensure we stay on track with the Worcester leaf collection schedule. Featured here is 3 properties with monster piles of leaves in front of them awaiting pickup. 💪😎 City taxes include this feature for Worcester residents. Typically a front end loader with a special attachment claw will pick up the piles and drop it into a dump truck. Thereafter, a sweeper will come and gather any remaining mess. All of this organic material is processed and used in making rich composted loam. It is important to make sure the leaf piles are trash free and no branches. Sticks, acorns, pine cones, and the like are ok. For any questions please refer to the city's social media pages or website. Today marks the first official snowfall in our area. Most of it was washed away by rain, but we now know winter can strike at any time. The wind was all over the place today, but the warm weather was awesome! 🌞 We conquered 2 large properties featured here in Milford, as well as additional cleanups before/after. Today was a fun day. The wind was all over the place 😂. However, our @echousa 9010's pushed back with hurricane like force 🌀 and we won the battle 💪😁! After we cleared each lawn, we then mowed and trimmed for a final time. We still have 33 more lawns to push through and then we will be onto the final round of leaf cleanups. Today we stopped in to see the pros at Toni's State Line Power Products. We had a tire go flat on one of our @gravelymowers and the shop had us back up in no time! We count on Toni and her crew for quality repairs, parts, and new equipment purchases. Proud to support a woman owned family business. 🙌 We also talked with the @echousa representative. He was thrilled to hear how much we love the products and to find out how many we have 😂. He gave me a new hat right away. He is also going to assist us in procuring some give away items for the @bvchamberofcommerce expo in March. We purchased a brand new ECHO HCS-2810. This new single blade trimmer is equipped with a gathering guard on the opposite side. The guard is going to save us a lot of time clearing clippings. Usually we need to hand pick the clippings. Today was a perfect 68° and dry. We took full advantage of the gorgeous weather. 🙌 We were able to trim some trees overhanging a house in Paxton. We mowed properties and trimmed bushes in the City of Worcester up until 3:30 PM. There was unfortunately a loss of 45 mins on RT 495. There was a large accident involving a tractor trailer. It had jackknifed on the the highway and a utility van was lodged into the guard rail. The back up was significant. As a result, we fell 1 short on our Milford mowing list. Rest assured tomorrow we will get the left behind property and will be cutting a downed tree / pruning encroaching limbs for a lovely property. We also have a client in Uxbridge who needs a one time mow as their mower is in the shop. Excited for tomorrow's opportunities. Today was absolutely perfect. Cool with some wind. We were able to service our clients in Worcester 01604 and a number of our Milford clients. With tomorrow featuring some effects from Hurricane 🌀 Lee, we will have an off day for maintenance on the equipment/paperwork. 📓 The Gravely and Toro mowers did a great job today. I love the new trimming ladder we procured yesterday from @americanladders . Our Echo and Gravely equipment did an exceptional job as always. The yews were happy to receive a much needed trim. This dry weather the last 2 days was perfect for drying everything out. We then proceeded to mow/trim this gorgeous property at 4" height. Today was a beautiful day! Impeccable weather for this time of year. Blessed to have worked for the first half of the day, then I traveled over to American Ladders in Oxford, and finally rounded off the day with a speedy 18 holes with my brother Mack. At @americanladders you can find any ladder that exists to man kind. They also have many other industry products - scaffolding, truck boxes, safety gear, and more. Catalog available at the stores. They have other locations and will bring products from place to place to accommodate clients. My experience today was A+. Customer service is excellent. Product quality is excellent. We purchased a beautiful 16ft Orchard Ladder for trimming tall yews and etc. We will return for more items in the future. Today I sported one of my custom polos made by @cocoongraphix and also represented the pros over at @billygoatindustries . Billy Goat sent us a box of hats months back and we love them. I truly enjoy mowing lawns. It's probably because we have one of the best brands in the game to help us tackle any lawn. Gravely has been a true game changer. We've been melting with this heat and humidity. Day after day we brave all the elements. Mother nature can be beautiful and mentally exhausting. However, it's important to smile. We worked primarily in Milford MA today and then at about 6 PM... The sky opened up and dumped sheets of rain upon us. We finished our residential clients in Milford, but need to return tomorrow to one of our corporate clients (Whitcomb House.) The facility is having an open house Friday and we will make sure it looks the best that we can! Stop by Friday if you have a loved one who is looking for senior living options. Here is a handful of photos from today's work. We had to remove a lot of vines from these burning bushes. This home is located in a heavily walked neighborhood. It is also located next to a senior assisted living home. With that, we have to push these bushes back past the sidewalk line 2-3 times a year. This is done so that people in wheelchairs can easily get by and have full visual site. We also did additional bushes and vine/brush work. Today was extremely productive despite the excessive heat/humidity. Hydration is key to working in all elements. Thankful for a cold stocked cooler everyday. Another successful mowing day in the books. Today my crew worked on lawns in Paxton and Worcester. This house pictured is 1 of 54 properties owned by a lawyer we work for. We have been proudly maintaining his properties year round for over 3 + years. We also did some gardening and brush cutting for other clients in Worcester. Tomorrow we have a Pine mulch job in Douglas. We will be using a commercial weed prevention fabric and staples. This will help suppress weed growth with a layer of mulch 3" depth on top the fabric. Another mowing day in the books 🙏. We worked in Worcester, Holden, and Paxton today. Some chainsaw work was done on damaged trees/limbs that fell from the last storm in Paxton/Holden. Tomorrow we start the day with some equipment maintenance. We have 1 truck down for routine maintenance with @ingear_12 and will have it back up before days end. Today was a fun time with family and great food. We went to the Mother's Day Buffett and it was delicious 😋. James ate a lot of breakfast and plenty of macarons. There is a photo of the 3 flavors he wouldn't eat (dad didn't let them go to waste 😋👌.) He takes tiny tester samples before fully commiting 🤣. I thought I was a picky eater. Kelsey, you are an amazing mother. You are an incredible person and I am blessed to have married you! I am so grateful to still have my mom in my life and a grandmother who was a true 🐐. My mother in-law Becky is also a loving and supportive mother/grandmother. We spent some time outdoors today and Kelsey made a wonderful home cooked meal. Today was perfect. We started the day with a small leaf cleanup and then made our way to West Boylston for a large cleanup of leaves, pine needles, sticks, and branches. We filled the 16ft trailer and the back of the F-350 (secured after photo.) Unfortunately, we ran out of room and the transfer station was already closed. Tomorrow we will return to do 1.5 hours work to complete the job. Then we are off to Worcester to do 2 yards of red cedar mulch and to remove a Rhododendron. In place of the failing Rhododendron, we will be planting an American Holly. We will be procuring the Holly bush from the pros at @bigelownurseries . I hope everyone had an incredible day. Today was absolutely gorgeous 🥰. I dropped my wife off at the doctor's office for her to get an ultrasound done. It went well for the appointment and baby girl is growing perfectly. Truly blessed 🙏. Whilst Kelsey was at her appointment, my dad watched James at the job sites. 2 of us started working on lawn cleanups and I trimmed 2 yews for a client in Milford. I will return to trim a monster yew next week and we begin mowing/trimming. Mulch, cleanups, and bush trimming will continue in between the mowing schedule. The @echousa 9010's and long shafted bush trimmers powered through anything it tackled. It's great to use the industries most powerful commercial equipment. We stand by our work and our equipment. Today was cold, but productive! We emptied a full load of branches and logs @ TomBerkowitzTrucking in Whitinsville / Northbridge. Then we drove into Worcester to knock out some small spring cleanups to prep for the fast approaching mowing season. We also performed some estimates in the city. Tomorrow we will be working in West Boylston and Worcester. Fun fact about Worcester: it is known as the birthplace of the smiley face. The smiley face was invented in the #Woo in 1963 by Harvey Ball, an artist hired to boost morale at State Mutual Life Assurance Company. What a windy and cold day. However, we completed a large spring cleanup in Milford for a residential customer. We went by Whitcomb House in Milford to measure for the mulch we are going to complete in the coming weeks. We will be doing a lot of work at Whitcomb House this season and can't wait to see a transformation. We will be bringing in a mini and skid steer to do some heavy duty landscaping in the front. Good evening 😀✌️ We hope you all had a solid Tuesday. We were out taking advantage of the warmer weather in Worcester and Milford. Today we cleaned gutters, cleared brush, cleaned up landscape debris, trimmed ornamental grass, and more. We will be stump grinding the stumps, leveling the ground, adding some new plantings, cutting/stapling/spreading weed prevention fabric, and more in the spring 2023. Can't wait to continue transforming Whitcomb House in Milford. We received a call today from a former US Senator/former DA. He is requesting a late season final leaf cleanup. Today we took down a couple trees for our clients at Whitcomb House in Milford. We also cut down 3 woody shrubs and vines. We will return for some brush cutting, to limb a couple small trees, and to reassemble the fence. It was easier to drop the tree forward seeing as how the power/utility lines were in play 2 sides and then a welcome sign in the other side. I didn't want to cause any damage. Clients were very happy to see the nuisance trees removed. Wood left on site as instructed. Spring has sprung. We are booking our spring cleanups, mulch jobs, and mowing for the 2022 season. It feels good to be back into landscaping mode. 😎🙏 Grateful for all of our wonderful clients. We are trying our best to accommodate everyone. Please know we have a lot of rain in the upcoming week. We will work as much as we can, but dyed mulch actually runs in the rain if it isn't fully dried from production.
