My most important purposeโฆ being an example to these two. โค๏ธ Children (little and grown) watch everything their parents do and look for examples on how to love, give, overcome, grow, dream, do, serve as well as how to navigate hurt, loss, change, difficulty, adversity. They are watching to see healthy relationships modeled, boundaries, what true integrity looks like and how faith is pursued. It is a lot of pressure and I have not always shown them the best example every second of every day. I have learned that being transparent when I stumble is the best example because they know perfection is not the goalโฆ doing our best and always learning from our mistakes is. The pursuit of perfection creates anxiety, disappointment and a lack of self confidenceโฆ I want the opposite for our girls. We do real over here at the Weyher home and embrace opportunities to improve whenever possible. I pray they have learned to dream bigger, love harder even if it involves being hurt in the process, to pivot when necessary and to stay the course of hard work by watching me on this journey through life and motherhood. I hope our girls have learned to walk with grit, grace and confidence. So far, so goodโฆ they are both sweet with a sprinkle of spice. Above all, I want to point them to the Lordโฆ and to encourage them to seek truth, follow the examples in scripture and live a faith-filled life (not just on Sundays). Kat and Emma are my greatest gifts. I will always choose them. Our beauties are everything I prayed for! I am grateful to be their mom. ๐ I wrote this last Motherโs Day but it all seems even more true today with Kat now married and on her own and Emma ready to headed to college in a few months! Family is everything... and it is even sweeter when your adult children choose you over and over. LOVED our time together today... so ready for lots of quality time this summer!
