Last night ended with disappointment! I don’t think it’s any secret that I’m struggling emotionally with the fact that Liberty is growing up and soon moving away. My heart just isn’t ready. So in an effort to soak up all the things I’ve emersed myself in theatre competition season. I’ve spent countless hours watching and enjoying every minute of their performances. Last night was not meant to be their last… not in my book, but it was. Atascocita had an incredible performance that was absolutely state worthy, but the way the cards fell they landed in 3rd place as the state alternates for our Region. I’m so Incredibly proud of the OAP team and know they gave it their all. They truly were amazing. What was the most disappointing for me was that taking 3rd meant another chapter is closing for Liberty and she’s now one step closer to leaving the nest. Liberty has absolutely flourished in theater. She found her joy and her home. It’s everything I could have wanted for her. It’s even set her up for her schooling and eventual career. She’s going to do amazing things in life, and I have so much gratitude for this theatre company and how they’ve contributed to who she is. So yes, I left the theater disappointed last night, but my heart is still so incredibly full! Just 4 weeks to go. 28 days… #SeniorSunday #AHSTheatre #mybabygirl #growingup #graduating

There’s first time for everything at any stage in life🌱 With kids growing up, it has been happening less and less, but this morning, they set off for their first school camp in South Lantau. So proud of them - they packed calmly, and off they went. Maybe it’s the parents that need more preparation (!!) Then, last night, I had to update and submit my work resume (previous time updated since 2007🤣). It’s humbling and refreshing to be in this position where I’m looking for my new base after working as a yoga teacher for nearly 17 years. We are never too old to learn something new… AND I think my resume looks way better than my old one!
