DAM) kay Quezon Governor Helen Tan , upang linawin ang mga paglabag sa pagtatayo ng access road para sa Kaliwa Dam. Ang ating hiling sa gobernadora: magpalabas ng cease at desist order laban sa pagtatayo ng Kaliwa Dam access road, dahil ito ay nasa loob ng protektadong lugar (PP 1636), ng lupaing ninuno ng katutubong Dumagat na walang free and prior informed consent, at wala ring pagsang ayon mula sa lokal na pamahalaan. Nangako naman ang gobernadora na kagyat niyang ipatatawag ang Sangguniang Panlalawigan para pag-usapan ang mga gagawing plano upang matugonan ang mga kahilingan ng grupo. Pagpupugay sa lahat ng mga katutubo mula sa iba't ibang sulok ng mundo na patuloy sa pakikipaglaban at pagprotekta ng kanilang mga lupaing ninuno, katubigan, kagubatan, at ng kanilang karapatan. Hanggang ngayon, patuloy pa rin ang pagharap ng mga katutubo sa diskriminasyon, mga banta ng militarisasyon, pag-red-tag, at mga proyektong walang malaya, nauuna at nauunawaang pagsang-ayon, o free and prior informed consent - gaya na lamang ng Kaliwa Dam project. Ang Kaliwa Dam ay inilunsad ng Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) na may layon na "solusyonan ang water shortage sa Metro Manila." "Think of the Dumagats and IPs --- #SaveSierraMadre" Former Ifugao Representative Teddy Baguilat Jr. reminds everyone of the Dumagat's plight of losing their homes after their 'rain dance' seemingly worked as rain poured in many parts of the Philippines. Earlier this year, the Dumagat-Remontados protested the resumption of the Kaliwa Dam construction, which will not only affect 1,400 IP families but also cause significant damage in the Sierra Madre mountain range.

The screening of the eye-opening documentary, "Tulaog: Sigaw ng mga Nililigaw", took place on June 08, 2023 at the Bocobo Hall of the UP Law Center, captivating audiences with the poignant situation of the indigenous community of Dumagat-Remontado in Nakar, Quezon. This was made possible by AKaP’s partnership with UP Institute of Human Rights. UP IHR Director Prof. Elizabeth Aguiling-Pangalanan commenced the screening by reaffirming IHR’s dedication to Human Rights, emphasizing the importance of public discussions on Indigenous People’s rights. Following this, AKaP Chairperson Mr. Teddy Baguilat highlighted the connection between environmental rights and the rights of the Indigenous People. Following the viewing of the documentary, was an insightful discussion led by Dumagat Representatives, Mr. Marcelino S. Tena and Mr. William Querrez, and AKaP Chairperson Mr. Teddy Baguilat, offering a fresh perspective and providing the audience with new insights and understanding about the lives, culture, and frustrating struggles of the indigenous communities especially when it comes to using their voices to have a say on something that has always been theirs to begin with. Atty. Raymond Marvic Baguilat, UP IHR's Senior Legal Associate, concluded the event with a plea for public support in safeguarding the ancestral domain of Indigenous Peoples. Giving importance to indigenous communities like that of Mr. Marcelino S Tena and Mr. Wiliam Querrez, and their passionate care for the environment, enables not only the promotion of environmental sustainability but also honor the cultural diversity, resilience, and inherent rights of these communities. Ang Angat Kalikasan Pilipinas ay nakikiisa sa mga mamamayan ng Pakil, Laguna at mga karatig bayan nito upang tutulan ang nakaambang pagtatayo ng dambuhalang Ahunan Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Power Plant. Noong Sabado, Marso 25, 2023, kami ay lumahok sa kanilang "Pakil Eco-walk." Layunin nitong ipakita ang angking kagandahan ng likas na yaman ng Pakil na napipintong masira ng Ahunan Dam Project. Ganun rin ang magiging epekto ng proyekto sa kalikasan, kabuhayan at kaligtasan ng mga Pakileños at karatig bayan. Inakyat namin ang Mt. Ping-as at Mt. Inumpog hanggang Talon Sirena - ang kagubatang direktang maaapektuhan ng 300 ektaryang proyekto. Nakasama rin namin sa pag-akyat ang mga kabataan at ilang grupo mula sa iba't-ibang bayan sa Laguna, Cavite at Quezon. Nakakalungkot na ang ganda ng kalikasan na aming namalas ay posibleng maglaho at hindi na masilayan ng susunod pang henerasyon kung matutuloy ang proyekto.
