For #obscuremonday I have you an early Smart Fortwo that seems like it has been in an accident because of the black bumpers and the hood. Normally I don't post such cars, HOWEVER this Fortwo is a Diesel! You can see the DI logo on the trunk lid that once had a C as well, forming CDI - Commonrail Direct Injection. Buick Sail (别克 赛欧) The most interesting scene from the track day! A Buick Sail and a Citroën Fukang (雪铁龙 富康) matched and drag raced! So glad to see these CDM og's still alive in the year of 2023. The Buick sail is a CDM Buick model based on the Opel Corsa B produced by Shanghai GM (上海通用汽车) and the Fukang was produced by Dongfeng-Citroën(东风雪铁龙). Interestingly, the four-door Sail sedan has never been offered in Europe, just like the Fukang 988 sedan. Also a touring variant was sold here as the Sail S-RV. These small family cars are almost disappeared over the 2 decades, they used to be very common in the past.
