Our student bands, ‘The Youngstars', ‘Sunshine Unlimited’, and ‘Neon Lights’ shone brightly on stage at the charity fundraiser for Turkey & Syria's Earthquake. 🎶 The kids put on a spectacular performance, showing their hard work and determination to make a difference! It was a wonderful moment for students to learn the value of appreciation and charity. Not only did the students offer their time & effort, but they also contributed their own pocket money towards the initiative. ❤️ Shoutouts to our teachers and staff for putting this together with the band. Our students have invested plenty of time and effort into preparing for this fundraiser, and they have also generously contributed their own pocket money towards the initiative. In addition, Frank Scarpitti, the Mayor of Markham, Alan Ho, the fundraising event chair and councilor in the City of Markham, and Ifhtia Haque, a representative from the Canadian Red Cross, will attend the event. ЧЕГО Я ХОЧУ? Сейчас, узнав о большой беде для тысяч людей, я не хочу остаться в стороне. После того, как сказала что ухожу из инсты на некоторое время, ко мне приходили мысли что я как-будто бросила близких в трудную минуту. Хотя это конечно же не так. Благо есть и другие неравнодушные люди, которые, имея большие связи, организовали сборы для помощи в Сирию и Турцию. Люди своими силами собирают средства чтобы оказать поддержку. Тут важна каждая копейка. Кто-то дает 50+ тыс , кто-то 200 руб, но это командная работа и каждый участник в ней как недостающее звено. Пусть никто себя не обесценивает, если может дать только 10 руб. Главное быть честным с собой и не жадничать. В чем смысл твоих накоплений, когда ты знаешь что другой человек страдает от голода и холода? Так вот, возможно когда-то я смогу отдавать сотни тысяч для помощи нуждающимся, но пока эта цель ко мне не так близка как хотелось бы, я буду делать то, что в моих силах. Я хочу быть из той категории мусульман, которые могут помочь не только прочитав ду’а, но и вместе с этим давать свои деньги на хорошие дела. Поэтому продолжаю работу в обычном режиме. Lucky Marathon boots. 2 years ago, 30 minutes before the bomb went off, I left the #BostonMarathon #finishline because the #docmartens had rubbed my feet raw. My new too-tight boots saved my life that day, and I come back to the Marathon every year wearing them to remind myself how precious and fleeting life is.
