28 April 2024 Knight of Pentacles ~ With a single coin tucked under his arm, our snappy dressed Knight looks towards the field in front of him. The ground has been tilled, but there's still so much to do before our Knight finds success with his goals. He knows that the path ahead isn't always going to be exciting, & the horse he rides seems to know that too. The work must be put in, the effort & focus needed if we are to succeed at our own goals. This is the Knight of the suit of Earth, the soldier that tends to his earthly goals even when there's no joy or fun to be found. How many of us are mowing our grass today or listening to the sounds of the mowers as they do their boring jobs? That's just one example of the mundane routines that are needed to feel comfortable & content in these earthly lives. We have to do the boring work if we are to succeed. Self-Care Sunday - Six of Vibes 🔥🤩🙌 The Six of Vibes (a.k.a Wands) gives us an interesting perspective on this card. Traditionally, this is a card of success, of praise and recognition of our achievements by others. But often, when we see the Six of Wands, I find that the recognition from others can be seen in a rather negative way, because we aren’t defining success by our own metrics, we are putting that weight on the opinions of others. The Six of Vibes, however, does not put one person up on a pedestal over others. There is not one person being praised and/or worshipped. Rather, there is a collective support of one another. There is no fighting to get to the top, they will all get to the top in their own way, they will all reach their own definition of success, because they are being uplifted and supported by their ‘squad’. It’s not an uncommon belief that ‘who you know’, networking, being ‘well connected’ can get us further in life than hard work or having all the right preparations. So, what if we found a squad of likeminded people, with likeminded goals and aspirations, but rather than competing with these people for the top spot, praised each other, raised each other up and supported each other? Then, we’re not choosing to have love and community OR success. We can have both. Isn’t that #squadgoals after all? And so, by lifting each other up, could we not only be caring for those around us, but also for ourselves too?
