I initially was able to force the OEM grille on but it came off after some time. The spacer pushes out the sub further than the OEM grille can stay on. Birch wood is ideal for strength, moisture resistance, and warmth of sound. These are sanded, predrilled, countersunk, and ready for 2 coats of sound absorbing paint. It’s a labor of love.
