Client wanted balloons on the stage but not on the floor and nothing that would block the big screen on the back :) So we came up with this idea of garlands hanging from the ceiling and they loved it!! . . When asked about his favorite FFKR project, FFKR's Jarod Maw shared why Abravanel Hall is his favorite! He said "A long time ago, when I was an undergrad architecture student at the U, I was given an assignment to sketch Abravanel Hall for one of my graphics classes. I spent hours doing multiple sketches and was lucky enough to get access inside to do some as well. By doing this, I came to understand and appreciate the materiality and shape of the building and the impact it had on the community around it. At the time, I had no idea what firm did this building. Since that time, I’ve learned a lot more about that building, the firm that designed it, and how significant it is to the history of the firm I am fortunate enough to work for. I guess you could say that, in a roundabout way, Abravanel Hall had an influence on where I work today."
