It honestly overwhelmed me. A couple weeks ago I found out about this orphanage that just happened to be in Kampala where I’m based... I knew I had to go see it! The president lives in Edmonton Alberta and a friend of mine is on the board which is how I found out about it. They’re having a dinner fundraiser in Edmonton on September 14th with all proceeds going directly to this home!! We went into town yesterday to get some things made by a seamstress. It was such an interesting place to visit! All of these ladies have their own sewing businesses down this hallway, I can’t wait to see the finished project. Other than that, we are starting kids camp this week and have had a great turn out! I’m so thankful to be here making a difference in people’s lives and in the same way they are changing me for the better! Missing everyone at home! 💜🇺🇬 #uganda #acupforafrica
Here are some pictures from our first couple days! Yesterday I woke up to the sound of roosters at about 5am 😂😂 The traffic here is also like nothing I’ve ever seen! The children are all very sweet and have been extremely welcoming! Looking forward to the rest of our time here as we get to know the children better and settle in.
