Jimmy Barnes has been forced to cancel his weekend headlining slot at the By The C festival as he faces an extended stay in hospital battling a serious bout of bacterial pneumonia. The 67-year-old frontman shared a health update with his fans, apologising for the last-minute announcement. “This infection has knocked me for six so there’s no chance that the doctors will let me out of bed for the next few days.” “Unfortunately, this has stopped me travelling to Noumea to join Rock The Boat 2023 as planned. My band will still perform on board, together with my daughter Mahalia and other special guests.” The Australian music community banded together at a minutes notice to create an historic concert event for Jimmy, and his daughter Mahalia proved what I've been saying all along, she is the Queen!!
