I meet Teja almost every year at the NAMM Show - and almost every year Teja has a new CD in his luggage. In a duo with Doug Young. And they're always great CDs. In 2024 it was a Teja solo album. 'Test of Time' is typical of his solo performances. In my opinion, Teja's musical influences are: Celtic music, jazz influences (John Coltrane) to classics like J.S. Bach or Leo Kottke.... Whether ballads or minuets, the music is somewhere between subtle, soulful and melodious. Whether 6 or 12 strings or on the National Resontor. Should not be missing in any CD collection. Alle waren begeistert - und für uns ein Grund mehr, damit weiterzumachen. Etwas über Charlotte: Ich kam 2009 zu meiner ersten Ukulele und interessierte mich von Anfang an besonders für die Spieltechniken des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts von Ukulelespielern wie Roy Smeck, Cliff Edwards und May Singhi Breen. Ich beschäftige mich leidenschaftlich mit der Unterhaltungsmusik und dem Swing dieser Zeit; besonders mit Liedern, die nicht zu Jazzstandards wurden und mittlerweile fast komplett in Vergessenheit geraten sind. 2018 kam die Begeisterung für alte und neue deutsche Chansons hinzu. A slightly different gig last night to anything I've ever previously done! 90 minutes of improvising on top of @greg_moseley_dj playing Latin house music and Reggaeton. Thanks to @madriexcepcional and @xsemltd for having us down for the National Publican Awards. Yesterday also gave me a chance to real world test the latest addition to the guitar fleet, my @godin_guitars Multiac Grand Concert. It involved a US style 10 hour round day trip at the start of the month to @wildwireguitars in Yorkshire as they were the only place in the UK that had that exact model in stock. Lovely place I might add! But I was totally ruined by the end of the day 😂 Trying to have an amplified nylon sound that feels natural and can handle high volumes in a live situation has become something of a crusade for me in recent years.
