Just another fantastic experience yesterday @osdistillingcow! I was able to take my dad to a new whiskey sensory class O’Shaughnessy is now offering. We were able to nose and taste multiple whiskeys while also smelling different scent notes that would bring out the characteristics of the whiskeys. This new class was run by Cade @thewhiskeyhunk. Every time Cade is running a tour or a class, I know it’s going to be a good time. A bonus is I got to hang out with Ron @whiskey_with again and got to meet some other Minnesota influencers in Parker @justaryeguy and Shawn @mplsfooddude. Bottom line, O’Shaughnessy Distillery can do no wrong! If you go on a tour, do one of their many experience classes (including this new whiskey sensory class) or just go in for dinner and drinks, you will have an amazing experience. Today I finally used the @moonsoaps831 Bixby. My only regret about this soap and splash is that I didn't use it sooner. Love this one the scent notes on this is addicting. My first experience with mermaids was the myth of Homer’s Odyssey where Odysseus faces The Sirens. It’s always been something that has suck with me from Saturday Greek school and now have something else to remind me of this in the shave den. On deck today I had the opportunity to use @phoenix_shaving Coconunt Bay Run with Lime which is a fantastic scent and excellent performing splash and soap set. Happy Saturday everyone! So…. I was finally able to try @gentlemansnod Kensei today. I wanted to do my review live yesterday on my TGIF shave, but since I didn’t have the set, today was the day. It wasn’t that bad either since I was able to do our #newweek theme of the week while also hitting the @canadianmafiashow #strongscentweek theme. I won’t get too crazy into the review, but this is what I noticed on my end: With both of these being in the Origin Series, it’s not a shock that both Kensei and Musashi have the same DNA. I said this to Mel and Brandon that these are sibling scents and are remarkable in their own right. I truly feel like they both have the same scent base, but the featured notes definitely pop in both. The scent strength is pretty strong on both, but Kensei’s notes are a little brighter and fresher, while Musashi’s notes are a little darker and bolder. If you have Musashi, you can pick up Kensei without any buyers remorse. Kensei is definitely another banger from Chris at Gentleman’s Nod!
