🎀REVIEW🎀 Meet my new favorite #scent for spring! This was the biggest splurge in my #sephorasalehaul by far. I’ve had my eye on it for awhile, tbh, but it was hubby who picked it out after sniffing a sample on me. He’s a huge fan of Tom Ford’s Velvet Orchid but that’s definitely a potent fall/winter #fragrance and I was looking for something lighter but with staying power. I gravitate to sweeter #perfumes so this one caught my eye when it launched in October 2020. I just wasn’t sure what to think about the peach!🍑 It can be a great #perfume for spring or fall, depending on how it blends with your body chemistry. At first spritz on me I can definitely smell the fruity peach and blood orange top notes. Once it dries down it becomes more subtle and the lovely middle notes of jasmine come through. As it warms to my skin and the hours tick by the warm spicy base notes of sandalwood, vanilla, rum, cognac & patchouli make their presence known. The staying power is impressive, too - about 8 hours until it fades to the point I’d need to reapply. (With hours 1-5 being consistently strong.) Note this isn’t a scientific test, just me on an average day.😁 〰️Bottom line? It’s the sensory experience I’ve come to expect from a Tom Ford fragrance. I debated a long time on which one to purchase during the sale and I have no regrets. Well, maybe one. I should’ve bought a bigger bottle.😉 I had a good reason for starting out with the smaller bottle. They’re not cheap, sunshines! NGL, this one had me nervous. I’m generally not a fan of the smell of lilacs whether it be in wax or in perfume, but a fellow candle lover (who also shared he had minuscule love for lilac scented things) raved about it, so I took a chance. The cold throw is strong and it is very lilac, which had me groaning a bit at first, but I kept picking up the cold candle to smell it and something was connecting. It smelled more green than purple and it was mouthwateringly delicious. Suddenly, I was getting excited to light her up! Once burning, it definitely smelled like lilac, but that juicy rhubarb added sweetness making it, dare I say, irresistible? There are other florals and amber which when blended together, create a candle nothing short of garden grandeur. If you love lilacs you will adore this candle. If you don’t love lilacs, well you might love this as well. I did and I’d definitely consider repurchasing this one. I bought this candle for myself. It is not for sale. SOTD Guys I think I’ve found a gem 💎 This fragrance has really blown my mind today, not sure what I was expecting but I’m impressed! I don’t really hear much people talk about this, but it needs to be talked about. Encelade means business! It has a very simple note breakdown but it’s really and truly a unique scent. I haven’t smelled anything quite like this. It’s not for everyone and is a more mature fragrance, but you’ll definitely get noticed while wearing this. Encelade is a woody, aromatic, green fragrance, but has a nice light but sweet touch from the Rhubarb note combine with some Tonka bean. This really makes this fragrance more well rounded and a bit more approachable. The Sandalwood note also gives Encelade a creamy and softer feel. Encelade has amazing projections, sillage, and longevity. This smells great in the warmer weather but I can’t wait to smell this in cooler weather!
