Auch wenn man das nicht denken mag, fühle ich mich vor der Kamera immer noch unwohl. Ich mache super oft Bilder von mir, in meinem zu Hause… ich mache sie meistens wenn ich alleine bin, ich kann das irgendwie nicht wenn jemand zuschaut, weil ich mich dann beobachtet fühle. Und ich mache immer ungefähr 100 und davon gefällt mir dann wenn überhaupt eins. Von vorne, lachend, mit Filter! Manchmal macht mein Mann die Bilder oder mein Sohn, aber auch das ist mir meistens unangenehm und ich fühle mich nicht so entspannt und locker dabei. Muss ich ja auch eigentlich nicht, mein Steckenpferd ist und bleibt ja mein Zuhause und das Interieur. Aber ab und an mache ich ja doch gerne ein Fashionreel für euch & brauche ein Titelbild, manchmal wollen die Firmen auch, dass man selbst mit drauf ist und manchmal stelle ich euch auch Kleidung vor, die ihr, natürlich, angezogen bei mir sehen müsst. Ich bin auch die letzten Jahre viel entspannter geworden….aber wohl fühlen würde ich es nicht nennen. Dann lernte ich @claudia__bernhard auf dem Retreat in Mallorca kennen und es war sofort eine ganz besondere Bindung da. Ich hatte sie sofort in mein Herz geschlossen und egal ob mit einem Shooting oder ohne wollte ich sie unbedingt wieder treffen, und wenn auch nur auf einen Kaffee, wenn ich in Berlin bin. Und das ergab sich dann auch…gestern. Wir liefen stundenlang durch die Straßen und redeten und hatten einfach eine super schöne, entspannte Zeit. Ich erzählte ihr das ich mich auf Bildern selbst meistens gar nicht schön finde und immer etwas auszusetzen habe… war mir auch ehrlich gesagt, nicht mehr sicher, ob ich wirklich ein Shooting wollte, da ich so Angst davor hatte, dass mir die Bilder vielleicht am Ende gar nicht gefallen. Aber dann zückte Claudia ihre Kamera und sagte: „ich zeige dir jetzt mal, wie ich dich sehe“. Und dann shooteten wir. 45 Min… Ihr seht hier nur einen kleinen Auszug daraus. In Summe sind es über 130 Bilder geworden und ich kann euch sagen, ich habe ALLE gekauft! Jedes einzelne gefällt mir… nein wenn ich ehrlich bin finde ich sie alle wunderschön! Danke für diesen Perspektivenwechsel! ❤️❤️❤️

Ich versuche immer, eure Kinder so zu zeigen, wie sie sind. Jede Familie ist auf ihre eigene Art und Weise einfach wunderbar. Es macht super viel Spaß, Eure Kinder kennenzulernen, sie kuscheln, spielen, toben, naschen... zu sehen, ihr Lachen zu hören. Thought it's time to reintroduce myself, since there are a few new faces around here. Thanks for hanging out with me and following along with my random collection of snippets from my life and obviously photography stuff. I appreciate you being here. 🥀 - I'm Julia, Jules to most, based in Berlin, but on the move a lot - I went to school in the UK and India and never moved back home afterwards - When i'm not shooting or planning a shoot, i'm probably throwing a dinner party for my friends - Love being self-employed but some days it makes me want to rip my hair out because I'm exhausted from being an accountant, marketing manager, sales agent, social media person and web designer all at once. And don't even get me started on german taxes - We'll get along if you have a dark sense of humour and can laugh about your trauma - I'm married to a Canadian and we have a dog called Nelson - I brought nelson with me from West Africa a decade ago after living and working there for 2.5 years - When I'm not in Berlin, you'll probably find my in Sicily, the south of France or galavanting somewhere on an island far far away - I'm half introvert half extrovert and take forever to recharge my social batteries - Bread and butter are my religion - While I'm editing I'm probably listening to fleetwood mac, stevie nicks, sam cooke, otis redding, prince or biggie - I either click with someone new within the first 5 minutes and know we'll be besties for life, or it'll take a long time to get through my 50 walls until I trust someone - I love love love photography and have felt so much more settled in life, since doing this, which is now almost 10 years. I was a mess before. - I'm always down for a long road trip - I have anxiety which is crippling on some days, and manageable on others If you've made it this far, well done :) I look forward to connecting with you.
