For everyone who is wondering, hatched two clutches of boeleni. The first clutch was eight fertile and two infertile, eight hatched, one died shortly after crawling out of the egg so I got seven healthy babies, second clutch had 12 fertile and one infertile. One egg went bad, 11 hatched and are healthy. The two females were five years old and I got three different clutches from a different female. in 2020 she laid 29 infertile eggs, in 2021 she laid 26 a lot were infertile and was only able to hatch two. In 2022 laid 10 but she rolled them around too much trying to get the other 10 out and they went bad. Did not breed her in 2023. She is egg bound, but doing good. My husband just got bit by our boelen's female. 😬 He wanted to check the window in the room and didn't saw that she lied above him on the top flower pot. She bit him in the shoulder and in the hand. 🤦♀️ Fortunately it seems, that she didn't hurt herself too bad and my husband is fine aswell, but the wound is pretty deep for a snake bite. Guess he will be more cautious in future... 😅 P.S.: Although it hurts bad, these pythons are not dangerous, don't worry and it was the mistake of my husband. 😉 ‐------------------------------------------------------------------- Mein Mann ist heute von unserem Boeleni Weibchen gebissen worden. 😬 Er wollte beim Fenster nachschauen, ob es eh ordentlich auf Spaltlüftung eingestellt ist und hat nicht gesehen, dass die Gute über ihm im Blumentopf gelegen ist. Freundlich und überhaupt nicht verfressen, wie sie halt ist, hat sie ihm gleich in die Schulter und Hand gebissen. 🤦♀️ Zum Glück hat sich weder sie noch er schwer verletzt. Aber die Bisswunde ist ziemlich tief für einen Schlangenbiss, autsch... In Zukunft wird Markus wohl etwas vorsichtiger sein. 😅 P.S.: Auch wenn's schlimm ausschaut und ziemlich weh tut, sind Boelen's Pythons natürlich nicht gefährlich für Menschen.
