Sadly, a couple of months ago, Taako had to be put down. He had Gout and was living life for a little while in pain. I miss him dearly even to this day and so does Lup. She spent his last days cuddling up close to him on the heat pad, it was like she knew he was going to pass. He is in a much better place now, I loved watching him grow up and cherished every moment with him. He was there through thick and thin, through rough breakups and emotional turmoil. To keep Lup from being too lonely she now shares a tank with Lucretia. A large Desert Spiny Lizard sitting on a Saguaro Cactus. This large male along with a smaller individual, were flipped under some roadside debris in Arizona on a chilly day a few weeks ago. As I write this I'm back in hospital following the third procedure to try and fix my busted ankle. Sadly I'm pretty much back to square one (or worse than) which is a bit gutting. Before it became apparent that all wasn't well with my recovery, things had started to pick up and I had my first 'proper' snake rescue call in a long time for this stunning little Southern African Rock Python (Python natalensis). It has been a while so here is som newly taken photos of som of the Junglerooms habitants 😊 I struggle with depression and some other personal things in life, it has been a few dark months for me...
