It’s been a while since I spent any time in the shop..and while tonight we are at my buddy Kev’s shop...we are fooling around with my recently acquired 1962 Pontiac Strato Chief.....despite having other cars waiting in line (my 62 Ranch Wagon Will be getting back on track in new year while the 62 Bubbletop sits patiently in a corner wondering what the heck I’m doing fooling around with the Chief) want to see how much it takes to make it a greasy and yet vintage Super Stocker...that means piecrust slicks and chrome reverse wheels...all of which I’ve already had stockpiled previous to even acquiring the Chief....tonight it was complete replacement of all brake lines/hoses/wheel cylinders and fuel line. By end of weekend I hope to have the used but new to this car gas tank installed and be doing a one-tire fire in Kev’s back alley. Yesterday went to check out a Rally Red 1970 W31 Olds that's been off the road since 1975 after it lost a fight with a power pole....here's what it looks like today in the new owner's garage. The previous owner (who owned it for just six months before hitting a highway abutment) did begin to fix some of the damage about seven years ago before passing away.
