I don’t want you to have regrets, like me. Ok, let’s back up a bit first. I’ve had an influx of moms booking newborn sessions in the last little while...and I am here.for.it.💗 Because, I don’t care whether you wear a muumuu and sit on your kitchen floor with a cuppa, or whether you want to bare your beautiful belly in a body of water ....I just want your images to say something. To say something about YOU. And if you have an inkling that you do want to capture this gorgeous season, BUT you’re feeling more frump than goddess? Then, I’m going to be straight with you - because I don’t want you to have regrets. I was pregnant with my 2, before photo taking was even on my radar. So, it didn’t even occur to me to have profesh photos done, and even if it did occur to me, I know I wouldn’t of done it…because I barely even have ANY photos of that time, let alone professional ones (because I was feeling more frump than goddess). Which now sounds ridiculous to me when I think about it. So, lovely mom, if capturing this time is important to you, you’re going to have to move past that mean girl mindset - even if it’s literally just for the duration of your session. And you know what? Even if taking a selfie in the bathroom mirror will ensure that you have preserved a glimpse of this incredible time...please, please, please, do it. Please, take the photo. Her mom and dad live in Memphis and travel here for work every so often- we couldn’t quite fit in brand new newborn photos, so we said what the heck…let’s swaddle her up and still do our backlit creamy white ones I do with all of my newborns in the studio.
