Then we will have a walk around the main part in a few of the graffiti & art shops n stools that are around. Then we will be going over the bridge & around the main part looking at the amazing graffiti art thats around. Then maybe we can find a lil spot to put our stickers up & do a lil peace of our own. There is plenty of food & drink bars est around the location. I will bring plenty of water aswell as hopsfully it will be a hot day. ☀️🤞 I will be providing the pens , paper , stickers & spray cans so this event is totally free. Iced coffee season ☕️ so why not make it salted? @tranquil_1992 have brought Vietnamese coffee to the Jewellery Quarter along with a tranquil space to relax, and everyone knows 1992 is the best year, right? 😜 We had: •Iced White Coffee (£5.55) •Iced Salted Coffee (£5.85) •Lotus Biscoff Cookie (£3.50) •Triple Chocolate Cookie (£3.50) I had to check the hype was real. I really enjoyed my iced white coffee, silky smooth and sweet, it was a lovely treat to add to our day out. Closing Two Weeks Today! @lepetitboismoseley announced their closure last week but they’ll remain open until the 27th April. Normally, there’s a choice of three starters, mains and desserts written on the chalkboards in the restaurant. However, the Côte de Boeuf was bookable in advance at £80 for two, so I had to take my steak loving husband to check it out. I mean, just look at it 👀 There were oohs and ahhhs in the restaurant as it was brought over to us. Could it be as good as it looked? Sitting on top of clear glass looking down into a wine cellar, we tucked in. Straightaway, James commented on how the steak cut like butter, it was melt in the mouth soft, cooked exactly how we like it. The portion size was plenty and it came served with crispy seasoned frites. We wondered how we’d get through it at first but every bite was perfect. We’ve shared a few Côte de Boeufs, as we both love steak, and this was by far the best we’ve had. With a relaxed homely vibe and wonderful service, this will be a huge loss for Birmingham. Fancy Indian small plates in the back of a cosy pub? Okay, but trust me on this please, it’s @indian_cafe_racer Taking inspiration from cooking on the streets of Bombay, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Indian Cafe Racer bring home cooked Indian street food to Birmingham City Centre. Admittedly, it’d taken far too long for me to come down here. After seeing rave reviews, I finally went with friends and few weeks back. Now, my friend Louise is somewhat braver than me and likes to ask the server for their recommendations, so after embarrassingly admitting I’m a wuss when it comes to spice, we were presented with a surprise selection of goodies mainly from the small plates menu, and you know how much I love small plates. We had: •Dahi Puri (£6) pic 1 bottom right •Rajastani Lamb (£15.50) pic 1 top right •Garlic Naan (£4.50) •Red Mullet Moilee (£11.50) pic 1 bottom left •South Indian Pulao Rice (£4.95) •Broccoli GT 65 (£8.50) pic 1 centre right •Palak Ki Tikki (£8.00) pic 1 on the wooden board •Gobi Manchurian (£8) pic 1 centre •Beetroot Moilee (£8.50) pic 1 top left Desserts: •Gulab Jamun (£5.00) pic 4 •Rasmalai (£4.50) not pictured I love this idea of letting the restaurant team order for us, I never would have ordered fish or even beetroot but we loved it all. Each small dish packed full of flavour, we sat in disbelief, each whispering about how we thought one dish was our favourite until we tried another. Spoilt for flavour. As a said wuss, most of the dishes had their spice levels adapted and they were the perfect level of heat for me. It’s hard to choose favourites here as each dish varied from the one before it. On next visit I’ll make sure to order the Palak Ki Tikki are particularly delightful, spinach patty like snacks. So overall, very attentive staff and food that’s packed with flavour. If you haven’t checked them out yet, get down to the Wellington pub on Bristol Street 👀
