On the first warm day of 2024, I had this delightful experience visiting the Strawberry Festival in Nonsan for the first time. 🍓 I didn't have much expectations as I didn't know well about the Festival before, but it is a huge event, where we could make recipes with strawberries, try a variety of foods and desserts including Strawberry Bibimbap, and play games and win prizes. 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐧 🍓 2͟n͟d͟ ͟p͟a͟r͟t͟:͟ ͟ Then we had 3 hours of free time and explored even the farthest corners of the festival. We watched as festival guests decorated cakes with cream and fresh strawberries, as they made strawberry jam, and tried strawberry liqueur and wine with a very rich and quite natural taste. There was a separate whole street with strawberry stands, where anyone could buy countless amounts of fresh strawberries at different prices. 1kg of strawberries ranged from 8,000 to 10,000 won, and there were also discounts for multiple purchases. On the territory of the park there were human-sized figures in the form of cakes, jars of strawberry milk, the alleys were decorated with strawberry lanterns, and panda toys hung on the trees. There was a street square with international cuisines, where you could try the local cuisine of each country. Not far from this square there was a sports stadium, where an exhibition of military flying equipment was opened and huge real helicopters of the Korean Army stood. Since Nonsan is famous not only for strawberries, but also for soldiers and the Korean army stationed in the area, there were many references to the Korean military at the festival. Be prepared for long lines to buy strawberries, coffee, etc., as residents from all over the city come to the festival. At the end of the day we were given a kilogram of strawberries. Last weekend, I attended the Nonsan Strawberry festival (논산딸기축제). Located in Chungcheongnam-do province,about 2 hours outside Seoul, Nonsan-si is largest strawberry production region in South Korea. I was very skeptical at first at how everything had strawberries in it especially the 비빔밥,but it was quite delicious. 2024 논산 딸기축제 🍓🍓 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐧 1͟s͟t͟ ͟p͟a͟r͟t͟:͟ ͟ for a long time i dreamed to go to strawberry festival 😛 From cold Seoul, after a couple of hours by bus, we found ourselves in real summer. In Korea, the most famous and largest strawberry festival takes place in the city of Nonsan. When we arrived in Nonsan, it was 23 degrees outside and the sun was bright, it was really hot like summer. We left our jackets on the bus and went on our journey. The festival turned out to have an incredibly huge area with different locations and events. The festival was held in a city park among trees, a lake and a large sports stadium. At first we made a strawberry rice cake several tens of meters long, dancing in a circle. Next we tried Bibimbap with meat and strawberries; it was a very unusual combination of ingredients. Then we were given coupons for 5,000 won and everyone could buy any treat at the exhibition; my friends and I took freshly squeezed strawberry juice. Next, we participated in searching for marked plastic balls in the ball pit. I took first place by finding the most marbles and received a ticket to the Daejeon Aquarium. I’d been feeding a wolf that didn’t even want to be there. On top of that - it turns out I’m the wolf in someone else’s story, wanting to be fed and snapping to get what I think I deserve. The Nonsan Strawberry Festival is a fantastic experience that I have ever participated in. There, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the culture and local traditions of Korea through traditional activities such as making strawberry rice cake and enjoying delicious strawberry bibimbap. Un festival aux couleurs du printemps 🍓 Nonsan est LA ville de la Corée du Sud, réputée pour ses fraises ❣️ Chaque année, elle organise le Festival des fraises pendant 1 week-end avec au menu: vente de fraises et de plats à base de fraises ✨️ Sur les photos, vous pouvez voir: 2- Le bibimbap à la fraise: oui vous ne rêvez pas!
