Today, I took a quick walk through Joyce Archdekin Park @bramptonparksrec and got to admire the Cherry Blossoms 🌸. Many gardeners, families, and cameras were in play. We each took turns to get the perfect photo and selfie! Cherry Blossoms are beautiful flowers with delicate petals in shades of pink or white. 📢 Call for Expressions of Interest: 50th Birthday Mural @ City of Brampton 📢 The City of Brampton @citybrampton invites Ontario-based artists and artist-led teams to submit an Expression of Interest to create a new mural in celebration of the City of Brampton’s 50th Birthday. Artwork should be dynamic and celebrate the rich history and cultural heritage of Brampton. The City of Brampton is open to a variety of approaches and materials, including but not limited to painted panels, printed digital illustrations, laser-cut images, texture relief, photographic images, and digital collages. The artwork must be contained within the identified canvas area but does not need to fill the entire space. The borders of the mural may be organic or can extend to the edges of the designated canvas. The mural must be designed and fabricated offsite and installed in fall 2024 at the designated location on the southeast corner of The Rose, the City’s largest performing arts centre.
