Alright, we're lace shaming! 🙈 When your laces' TAILS don't match the TOES it's time to change them out for a fresh set 😎 What does this mean? The TAILS (the part you tie with the most) go through a lot of tension! They get pulled on a LOT when we're trying to get the ankle and midfoot secure, and they are the only thing holding on tight when you're launching up for jump take offs and coming back down for landings. They're pretty flexy when they're new, but over hours of skating they'll stretch out and absorb dirt and oils from your hands which is where they lose their grip. How does that feel? 👎 The ties don't stay secure 👎 They let your foot and ankle move 👎 They don't encourage feedback from the ice to your foot 👎 They look dirty and messy 😣 If you feel like you need to retie your skates during practice, Step 1: new laces! We're having a great time getting to know @Risportskates 🥰 This RF3 Pro's skater needed a bit more hug to her ankle and achilles, and we were able to give it to her with the boot's heat shaping technology! 🔥 Just look at how the boot on the right has a C-shaped collar cuff, and the boot on the left after its shaping is more U-shaped. If we needed to be ultra-custom, we could do one boot one way and the pair another! Whatever the feet need, right? 👣 But we finished the job with the right matching the left once we were done with them. And no change was made to the boot's support strength or comfort in this process! Just a change in how the boot interacts with the skater's foot 😊 If a boot modification or comfort adjustment might make all the difference in your skating this season, let us know!
