I learned a really important lesson this week and I wanted to share. Two weeks ago I thought I had an amazing week. Hit my protein goals, got tons of walking in, and worked hard. When I went for my weigh in, the numbers didn’t reflect the work I put in and I was extremely defeated. This week, I felt eh about my week. I still hit my protein goals, but I didn’t walk as much, wasn’t as intentional about meal prepping and had a few meals out. I went for my weigh in yesterday and was down another 3lbs, making my total weight loss now 35lbs. I was in shock. The lesson was that one off week shouldn’t stop you from crushing it the next. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being consistent. Despite what I felt, I still crushed it and saw amazing results - some of which are probably due to the actions I took the week before. We all have goals and things we are working towards and sometimes you don’t see the progress you want. This is your sign to keep going. Don’t give up or stop what you are doing just because of an “off week”. Truthfully, my entire health journey (up to this point) I’ve done exactly that. Stay Consistent: In & Out of the Gym. Once I set my mind on something, that’s it, it’s done. I started my fitness journey in January 2023 and I’ve never missed a week (aside from family vacations). I’m consistent, and I can help you to be too! 1⃣ Determine your Motivation. Why do you want to go to the gym? What’s your why. If it’s to look good, lose weight, feel good, anything
 it has to be a goal your willing to put above anything else. Do you want to look good more than you want to eat junk food? 2⃣ Eliminate Barriers. Make it as easy as possible to get to the gym. Choose a gym close to work or home, make it easily accessible. 3⃣ Consistent Schedule. Same time every single day. 4⃣ Create a Workout Plan. I currently love a 5 day split. Do some research and figure out what will work best for you. A 3 day split might be push/legs/pull. 5⃣ Remind yourself Why. Affirmations constantly. “ I get to go to the gym today”, “ I am here for me”, “ I am grateful I get to move my body today” 6⃣ Have Fun. Enjoy your workouts, make them fun- challenge yourself. It's not been a long time but 20 days before I restarted posting on my account (after 3 months of silence)and after 10 days I observed a positive change on the dashboard. My exact strategy to get rid of the issues I mentioned above is •I made a content calendar for the whole month that I didn't do before🀭. •Started to engage with a proper strategy with other creators and my target audience through stories, hashtags, Explore page, and my feed. •Started to point out the pain points of my target audience. •Started to focus on using more keywords. •Started experimenting with different types of content (educational, entertaining, promotional) in my content strategy to keep my audience engaged with my content. Here’s some ideas 👇 💕Spend 10-15+ minutes journaling your feelings every day 💕Share your feelings/experiences with someone close to you 💕Forgive yourself and others for what happened in the past 💕Establish boundaries to protect yourself from further hurt 💕Write a letter to yourself at the time/age of when you were hurt 💕Pray or do a devotional about what you have experienced 💕Engage in regular self-care to rest and reset your nervous system 💕Talk to a professional counselor or therapist 💕Join a support group with people who share your trauma Just know that to really get past it and allow yourself to move forward, you will need to get a little uncomfortable. I encourage you to start small where you are most comfortable and then gradually dig deeper, getting more uncomfortable and making more progress over time.

Today was a just one of those days that felt good. I don’t have the best sleep but something about waking up and getting a really good workout on this final day of the work week just set everything off in a positive direction and I had a an awesome day from there. I’m not saying you have to start with a workout to have a great day, but when you have a positive viewpoint and are focused on building, it can create a trickle down effect that impacts confidence, satisfaction, non-attachment

There are some things in life, that you never expect and never thought possible. This past week, I had an emotional experience just like that. In November of 2023, I entered my first bodybuilding competition and I had my body fat checked. I came in at 16%. I made a commitment to improve for my next show! In March 2024, I had it checked again and I was blown away that I had lost 3% and down to 13% This of course had me wanting to see what I could really achieve. Last weekend, my body fat check was 10%, I was in tears! Never in my life, did I think I would be 10% body fat! I was always a big guy and never considered myself lean or think I ever would be. My biggest regret is not knowing what my body fat was at my highest. But I can imagine that at 435 lbs it was no where close to where I am know. If you want something bad enough, you have to be willing to put in the work not just physically but nutritionally and mentally as well. Don’t limit yourself, achieve your full potential and be the best version of you! Discipline takes time, consistency is key and you can’t be afraid of hard work! If I can do this, you can do this! Can you beat genetics? Yes, to a certain point. Of course you can’t naturally change your eye or skin color. You do are able to modify naturally your physique if you are willing to put the work in, be consistent, and be patient. Genetically I have big tights, and a heavy set overall. The rest it’s been the daily work and small choices I do. Giving birth to 5 children, and being a cancer survivor it’s physically going to war. It has taken me years to rebuild muscle after cancer, and I still don’t think I am were I was, but I will keep working on it. The Daily Question To Ask Yourself 
 ? At the end of each day ask “Did I get better today”? Did you get 0.01% better today 
 Some days the gains will feel massive, but the daily goal simply needs to be getting better 
 Just fight for that 0.01% & at the end of 1-week you will be proud of yourself! If you can do it for 1-month you will see a difference 
 If you can do it for 1-year you will be in the top 5% of whatever you are laser 🔍 focused on 
 It is simply the daily consistency of making progress (
 no matter how small). It is so simple yet it will be one of the hardest things you have ever done 
 Just making the daily decisions (
 & there will be many each day) to take the actions that move you in the direction of progress 🚀 The temptation will be there to take a “cheat” day & all that you will be cheating is you 
 The people who are supporting you 
 & That person who you could have become if you had only stuck with it. Today I had a good day ☀ 
 And like every good day it started last night when I wrote out what I would accomplish today with clear steps I would take to do so 
 No shortcuts or hacks or silver bullets 
 Just a simple plan executed like I had written it down last night. I urge you to start getting very intentional about what you want out of the just less than 8-months remaining in 2024 as it is going to be over before you know it 
 Things will not happen by chance 
 They will only happen by change! Day one or some day

Ended up back in the ED a few weeks back, and was told “no fitness” and all that jazz until we did some more tests to figure out what went on. A few weeks later, and MRI, some blood tests
. And nothing
 So I got some good advice from my ENT
 “go live your life” Advice that genuinely has stuck with me since. While I’m still hyper sensitive to anything around my nose, constantly checking if I’m bleeding, I’m back to myself, thankfully. Getting back in the gym and killing some workouts lately, I might just be back to recording some stuff in the near future! If you don’t work on your mental state of mind first you will NEVER be happy with your physical results! Transformation consists of many different aspects of your mind and body. I believe you have to be mentally healthy to be truly happy with your physical journey. It can be hard to fight off feelings of self doubt or negative thoughts about yourself. Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) is a common mental illness. People who have this illness constantly worry about the way they look. I know I struggling with BDD, I have my whole life! Whether it’s from society pressure or other sources, this mental state can be so taxing. Reversing the negative thoughts and feelings about yourself can take time. But never QUIT trying to see yourself for who you truly are! Our bodies are amazing! And the more we focus on the inside, the better we feel about the outside. Change takes time. So give yourself time to see physical results, just like it takes time for mental transformation. Both require hard work, consistency and good gut health. The gut brain axis is real and can change the course of your mind.
