I'm not crying 😭.......but today was the last dance for this chapter of mini me's studio dance life that ended with such a fun but emotional recital. I have loved watching my daughter grow and shine on that stage year after year. The memories, lessons learned, and relationships created for the both of us will forever be cherished ❤️. Last Recital Day!! Dance and dance competitions have been a part of our lives since 2002. We started with @rpd_studio in 2008. Dance competitions were always a family event. It was like a weekend get away for all of us. They were long weekends, but truly some of the best! Hair and makeup for 3 girls by 8:30 am would really start your day off right. The friendships our girls made and the friendships that Mike and I made were such a blessing. It has been a joy watching @caycemoak, @frannydaviss and @maemaedaviss for all of these years!! And then when it was just Mae, the constant support from her sisters has been a beautiful thing to watch. We’ll all be there today, definitely crying a little, at the last Repeat Performance recital. Bravo to Heartbeat Dance Center (my daughter’s dance studio!)! This group! All the Heartbeat dancers did so well over the weekend at the Star Dance Alliance World dance competition. This group of tap dancers, performing ‘ASCEND’, had an especially exciting final day with an Excellence In Tap award as well as advancing to the Top Ten and, finally, the Final Five. All five Heartbeat groups who were invited to this stage gave it their all. So proud of all of them. What an amazing emotional week! Nothing truly prepares you for the big Senior year milestones especially ones that mean so much. Dance has been a huge part of our life for the past 15 years and it’s hard to say goodbye. Carly danced her heart out all week and we are so proud. Her solo finished with a Diamond and 15th overall out of 108 Senior solos, her duet was 9th overall, and well too many group dance awards to mention here 💙 I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again we are so thankful to the @danceproductionsremix staff for all of the love, support, and opportunities for Carly to excel in dance. We are also so thankful for all of the friendships we’ve made through dance (booster board, booster club, prop dads, and just wonderful dance moms and kids)! Last night, my girls performed in their end of year dance recital. "This is me."💃🩰 I was in awe with how they performed and so grateful that their dad and I are able to provide them with these opportunities. This was Abigail's 7th year of dance, and she continues to amaze me with her skills and tenacity to learn new moves. She definitely knows how to bring attitude to the stage. This was Evelynn's 1st year of dance and included a combo class. I was so impressed at how well she did on the stage as well as remembering two routines. Of course, these girls wouldn't be able to get where they are without the wonderful dance instructor/choreographer/owner of Miss Natalie's Rhythm and Dance Studio.
