I couldn’t be more proud right now. Over the weekend my son’s dance studio put on their spring performance. This year they did Mary Poppins & Aiden had a lead role of Michael. He did a wonderful job acting & dancing. My mom heart was overflowing. I love that he has found something that makes him so happy & can’t help but smile watching him pursue his passion. ☂️🪁 The whole prediction was amazing & all the dancers were remarkable! I will forever be in awe of how the studio owner puts together such astonishing performances, coming up with every little detail. I am so glad we found such a wonderful dance studio/family. Now we’re on a dance break till the summer camp & then regular classes will start back up in the fall. I’m currently working on acquiring my BCNS certification. 2️⃣ I work as an assistant coach for @alyssanoel_rd specializing in gut health & hormones. Being a functional nutritionist means looking at the body as a whole, getting to the root, & putting all the pieces together! 3️⃣I’m obsessed with “Mexican” food: Give me all the nachos & spicy margaritas!! 4️⃣ I enjoy all things woo...crystals, tarot, UFOs, Astrology, & Human Design. Before I get any eye rolls, many things that were once considered woo-woo, now have some actual basis in science🤓 5️⃣ I have my bachelor’s degree in psychology & had originally planned on working with eating disorders. I still love psych & find that having this background is helpful with coaching emotional eating. 6️⃣ I am a former hairstylist! I worked in a salon for 3 years & talked about nutrition to all my clients LOL. 7️⃣ I’ve been married for nearly 12 years! We have 2 daughters & 2 dogs, Lola & Logan🐶 8️⃣ I’m actually really shy. Social media is hard for me, & many people think I’m standoffish when we first meet. It’s my RBF... 9️⃣ I’m a certified yoga instructor. And that’s a wrap. The dance competition season is in the books. It was an amazing year of growth, challenges, development, and fun! I could not be more proud of all of our dancers. But my most favorite has come so far. She moved teams which meant taking on more challenging choreography, expressing emotions as she danced, and more performances. On top of that she and one of her dance besties were given the opportunity to dance a duo together. I am amazed and in awe of the dedication, talent, and drive that she has. And don’t get me started on her ability to be nervous backstage but make it look easy as soon as the music starts. She got to dance in the advanced group at Inferno against some extremely talented dancers. Big weekend for my babies. Liam’s baseball team travelled to Wichita Falls and played up in 10u for their tournament. After a rough start in pool play, they showed up to dominate bracket play, going 2-0 and becoming silver bracket champs! ⚾️🏆❤️🖤 Layla’s dance team competed in Turn It Up dance challenge. They performed beautifully in all four of their dances and walked away with a bunch of awards! 💕🩰 Contemporary: Platinum, 9th overall Hip-Hop: Platinum Jazz: HIGH PLATINUM, 4th overall, Judge’s award, costume award, & dance team invitation Lyrical: HIGH PLATINUM, 7th overall, dance team invitation It was a long weekend, but filled with lots of triumphs. Was such a fun filled weekend with my birthday🎂 and Elizabeth’s last regional competition at @inferno.dance 💃🏻🩰until Nationals. Friday night was spent at @thenashvillepalace (so much fun btw). Then the last two days were dance days. These dancers danced with their whole hearts this weekend and looked amazing out there on that dance floor! Scoring multiple high golds and platinum adjudications. Elizabeth’s hip hop routine was the one that stood out the most today from our studio and placed 5th overall, was chosen to perform again today in their showcase, and selected for the Routine on Fire 🔥 award (voting hasn’t opened yet for that)!! We also took home another studio award for “Fans on Fire”!!! Probably because how loud we all are haha! What a wonderful competition season Isla had this year @staugdance. She really connected with her team and her teacher and it showed every time those girls got on stage. They worked so hard and have grown so much and, as a result, their dance scored the highest out of all the competition teams at her studio this season. They were given the honor of performing their dance at the end of year studio recital in June and we couldn’t be more proud of them. With all these milestones, Isla’s confidence has grown. She and one of her teammates decided to apply for a duo in next year’s competition season. Their application was accepted and Isla and Maddie auditioned yesterday. Today, while we were at the beach, Isla received the news that their audition was accepted and they have been given a duo for next year. That’s a wrap on Remy’s dance competition season 🎬🏆 Her dances did absolutely incredible this year at each competition and got multiple awards including 1st place trophies, best in categories, overall placements, judges choice awards, and beyond 🤩 Remy has grown as a dancer tremendously. Watching her do what she loves, and do it so well, makes our hearts burst! I am so proud of her and these girls every time they hit the stage. Dancers truly dance through it all.
