A thumping track which recently got a rerelease. Secondly, a 1971 original of the incredible Garra by Marcos Valle which was also rereleased last year on the great Brighton-based @mrbongoworldwide imprint. I have been reading in my journals from around the time this photo was taken. I wrote about how I felt the power within me and how I couldn't find the way to express it. I received invitations here and there, some beautiful ones, some ugly as hell which taught me how to recognize false invitations. I was trying so hard while also realising that all that trying wasn't bringing me where I wanted to be. My priorities were shifting in a different direction. I was giving up on setting intentions, praying for manifestation and trying to attract invitations - because clearly it wasn't working. Instead of expressing outward, I started opening my inner world. This is the time where I laid the foundations for who I am now and the pathways I am now finding for expressing my power. I had - and still have - the utter conviction that everything is good exactly as it is. So when things didn't turn out as I thought they should be, I devoted my attention to recognizing how that was a good thing. In answering that question I travelled all around the universe, back and forward in time. I came to know the fabric of reality and why it is constructed the way it is. If you ask me now what my sources were and how I learned what I came to know, I couldn't tell you. I read this and that here and there. There was a whole lot of insight that just got downloaded in my head, while I wrote or while I lay in bed at night. All I learned confirmed for me that, yes, everything is good exactly as it is. And as I gave up on being who I was not I fell softly back into who I was becoming. Now, years later, I share a version of this story in every reading I give, tailored to the person in front of me. I tell them why they get to surrender to who they are. And how they are good exactly as they are now.
