What 👏 a 👏 day! 👏 Great time with great company! @craiguryase & @holdena864! We started real early with Dolly Cooper, followed up with lunch, then Orchard Hill, then Sterling School and finally ending the day with a trip to @playitagainsportsgreenvillesc! Starting with Dolly Cooper I had an amazing drive off hole 1 and missing my birdie putt. Dolly is a challenging course but I beat myself up and was being grumpy. Lots of love from the guys but I couldn’t shake the mood. Finished +15 for my first time there and I am determined to destroy that score! Upside is Craig showed us the 4 leaf clover stairs and I found 4 🍀’s! Ate some food then headed to Orchard Hill. This course is much more forgiving on gold lines than Dolly. Craig and I both shot well and I was back to life! My putts were on point and drives felt good. Still waiting for the approach to click at throw past 300’. Last course was Sterling School. New course to the upstate thanks to @emilyr0use helping design the course. 9 hole course but it was fun! Some distance shots, some low ceiling shots and hole 3 is tough! Ended the day by taking BACK the #25 tag from Craig! Finally shopping at Play It Again Sports in Greenville! Great day, good people, 3 new courses, 45 holes, 12,824 steps, 4.5 miles! First things first, what an AMAZING turn out @renegade_hobbies had for the very first hosted tournament! Congratulations and I’m excited to see what y’all bring in August! I’m not super happy with my performance, however I’ve learned a few things! 1. Switching up form a week before a tournament is a rough time to transition from standstill to an approach. 2. Eat/Sleep are super important before an all day tournament! I had coffee and little sleep the day before. 3. I will never, NEVER play a round again the day before a tournament. So, that being said, I played as well as I could muster. I was really tired by the second round, timing was off on drives, and putting was in the dumps. Once the bad mindset was there it was so hard to shake it. I wanted to quit a few times, but I just sucked it up and used this as a learning experience!
