S550 Mustang in for major repair after the stock engine with a Vortech Supercharger broke the crank gear and then the timing chain as well. Unfortunately, the passenger side cylinder also showed damaged valves, too. saw this cool ass little 1967 Mustang Drag Car at the Sumter County Swap Meet last Sunday!🤘🏻 He wanted a $100…it’s a RC car with a little motor. I asked to see if he had any stock ones that’s just a model and he sadly didn’t, he did have tons of chevy and mopars ! also I saw tons of mustang hub caps, horn button(i think), a 289 emblem, a pony front grille badge, mustang glovebox door, and 67 mustang gauges. There wasn’t that many mustang parts there. Lots of Chevy parts but met a man named “Mustang Phil” that had a whole booth selling various years of mustang parts and he had a sweet 67/68 black center console and I could’ve got it for really cheap (they had three little minor cracks) but i see used they’re worth $1-1.3k used. We have been fighting traction issues with the car for about 2 weeks now. The car usually spins the tire a little bit and takes off. I believe the new SPEC Clutch is putting more power to tires. Even with the mustang giving us fits somehow we end the day with a runner-up finish in the Modified Class @ ESTA Safety Park Drag Strip yesterday. Thanks to the crew @ Auto Gear. They freshened up the N24 Transmission for 2022 and it still shifts smooth as silk. Enjoy some in car footage from yesterday!

The new clutch setup is in the Mustang. This season we are trying out a Spec Clutch. The clutch disc has 2 different friction surfaces. The flywheel wheel side of the disc has a organic surface. While the pressure plate side of the disc has a metallic surface. The pressure plate features an aluminum ring with a steel plate friction plate that is replacable. It's looks like a great clutch. We are hoping this clutch will take some of the hit out the car. Especially when we launch the Mustang at 52000 rpms!
