Takaosan no Sugi-Namiki The row of cedar trees, planted along the approach to the grounds of Takaosan Yakuu-in, is unique in Tokyo. This row comprises more than 10 cedar trees with a giant cedar at the beginning. Although the 26th typhoon ravaged this area on the 24th of September 1966, these giant trees survived. The giant cedar is 47 meters high and has a 5.6-meter trunk circumference. As these cedars are already old, the truck of some of them is hollow near the roots.
