MYSTERY! This Fender Japan from 2002 might seem like your regular sunburst Telecaster, but it is actually one of the most mysterious guitars we had here in the shop. The model name is TLC62B, stamped in the neck pocket. This means Telecaster Custom 62 Vintage Reissue - and B stands for "bound"! But where's the binding, you might ask. The binding is there, but it is BLACK! it is definitely not a refinish, this is how it came from the factory! Why would the binding be black and essential invisible on a sunburst body? Happy #Straturday! This ultra cool 1989 Fender Japan 67RI Stratocaster came to us in poor condition, with the original sunburst flaking and the original neck in need of a truss rod change. So we decided to refinish it in Jimi Hendrix style Olympic White nitro and relic the hell out of it. As for the neck - we managed to find a left-handed one from the same model and the same year! We reversed the nut and now you have a truly unique reverse headstock Strat for all those essential Jimi riffs! . Built as a part of a limited run for Fender Japan Domestic market, this beautiful Classic 60s Stratocaster comes for sale in mint condition with only a couple of tiny dings on the edge of the body and some scratches on the scratchplate. Fender started experimenting with two-piece necks all the way back in late 1950s. Rosewood fretboards were much more common back in the day compared to maple ones and were loved for their classic looks and slower wear. Stratocaster for sale comes with premium-quality tight-grain rosewood fretboard with that coveted dark chocolate colour. Neck has amber gloss back finish, classic small headstock, "spaghetti" Fender logo and comfortable medium-sized C-shape. Original frets have no wear, original gold Kluson slotted tuners work smoothly and the truss-rod is traditionally adjusted at the neck heel. Electric voice is provided by a set of original Fender Japan single-coil pickups. Warm and darker neck pickups tone, bright and searing bridge, balanced middle pickup and funky in-betweens - this Strat can do it all. Original wiring with a 5-way switch gives beautifully broad tonal palette. Gold hardware was available as an option back in the early 1960s, but it was a pricey one. Striking contrast with the black pickguard over a sunburst body on the Strat for sale reminds us of the famous Stevie Ray Vaughn's guitar. Vintage-style tremolo works well and comes with the original gold tremolo arm Currently set on 3 springs for smooth action. First introduced in 1958, the Jazzmaster was supposed to become Fender's new bestseller, built for jazz musicians. However, it didn't work out quite how Leo Fender intended. Jazz players were surprised by the lack of f-holes and humbuckers and Jazzmaster was mostly ignored. . Fast forward 30 years and Jazzmasters are available for cheap secondhand and Fender Japan is building quite a few new ones as well. Grunge and alt rockers start buying these. The rest is history! . Often misunderstood, these guitars are actually quite awesome if you know how to approach them and maintain them. Today, Jazzmasters are definitely back in fashion and there are several different models to choose from. . We are big fans of #FenderJapan here at GuitarGarageLondon, so all three #Jazzmasters you see in the pic were built there. Here we have a 2006 Jazzmaster 62 Vintage Reissue with a fairly rare ash body and transparent white finish, a 2019 Jazzmaster Hybrid series in even more rare Charcoal Frost and a 2002 Jazzmaster 62 Vintage Reissue in glorious Daphne Blue.
