Another cracking day on The King Of The Erne final day in @fermanaghlakelands @fermanaghomaghdc ❤️🍀 I wasn’t expecting big things from Portora peg 14, but when I arrived there were odd fishing topping which made me optomistic! 🎣 Had a good first two hours on the pole catching some real quality fish - roach and odd hybrid 🐟 @mainlinematchofficial Supernatural dark with crumb and soil, casters, worms and maggots from @irishbaitandtackle 💪🏼 Things slowed from there and the whole place seemed to shut off late, but working hard with light rigs I nicked the odd fish including a couple of late hybrids - great fun on the pole they are! 😎 Ended with 14.500kg which won the Portora zone, really happy with that from there and a great days sport again! 👊🏼 I think Steve Hemingray has wazzed it, well done captain! 🥇 Roll on the final day of Classic Fishing Festival tommorow, going to draw an absolute rocketship! 🚀 Loving it over here, awesome place init! 👌🏼 #fishing #matchfishing #fermanaghlakelands #lougherne #ireland

Day 2 of the Classic Fishing Festival in Fermanagh Lakelands. Drew peg 5 at Round O, one of the coolest pegs I’ve ever been on, check out the video 👌🏼😂. Really fancied it for a few fish, looked so good, had a fish early on the 6m whip in 15ft of water, big roach and hybrids on maggot over my heavy mix of @mainlinematchofficial Super Natural dark, brown crumb and some soil to weight it up. I fed 10 big balls at the start with lots of caster hemp, corn and a few chopped worm which I topped up regular throughout the day, unfortunately the fish didn’t stay long, so I looked on feeder line which I fished a large caged window 50g, stuffed with casters worm and with some wetted down ground bait, didn’t have a bite on this until last hour and half (regularly tried it and top it up throughout day), whilst I was waiting I trained a Robin to jump, then a few big hybrids turned up to finish the day off nicely👌🏼 ended up with 11.800k for a little section win 🙏🏼👌🏼☘️. Unfortunately the fish have moved from the area, so it was going to be tough, the section was tight I ended up second with 5.400kilo with 5.500kilo winning the section. Had a nice day mainly catching on the pole at 13m with a light rig tripping through nicking odd roach, had a few fish on feeder but wasn’t breaking any records for sure. Need to get a good draw today, however still an enjoyable days fishing! MINT day on the first day of KING OF THE ERNE in @fermanaghlakelands 💪🏼🎣 Drew peg 5 at Manor, looks stunning the lough there! ❤️ Slow start on feeder, and not a lot on the pole but with the wind dropping it looked perfect for a slider, so I got up the bank and set it up! 😎 Had a great couple of hours on this at 25m in 17ft of water, odd big roach, perch and a couple of hybrids feeding soft @mainlinematchofficial Supernatural dark and brown crumb with some soil in 👌🏼 Kept feeding the pole too and the last hour the wind got up and I had a feeling it would come good, and I caught a couple more hybrids and some great roach there to finish the match! 🐟 My 15.900kg was enough to win the Manor sections, and a great start to this two day event (today and Thursday, the Classic is the inbetween days!) 👌🏼 Great fishing, loved it! Rocky start to the Classic Fishing Festival in Fermanagh Lakelands. Drew peg 9 at Inishmore Viaduct, next to me travelling partner James Dent Fishing, who was on end peg 10. Tricky conditions made it hard to put anything together, caught a few at 6m holding on with a 10g float 💪🏼😂. Nicked odd fish on the feeder in the channel at 23m. Ended up with 3.600k for 5th in section, James had a lovely 9.300k for a nice section win, Matt Godfrey Fishing and Frankie Gianoncelli Fishing, were both second in theirs, so good start overall. 179 anglers fishing, draw was super organised and bait from Fishing Tackle and Bait was first class thank you 🙏🏼.
