Daar is ie weer: de traditionele nieuwjaarskaart. Hoewel…dit keer anders dan andere jaren. Veel van jullie kennen me als fotograaf van concerten, festivals, congressen of andere bijeenkomsten. Kon ik eind vorig jaar nog terugblikken op drie mooie muziekmaanden en die vatten in een aantal foto’s voor mijn eindejaarskaart, dit jaar bleek het echt onmogelijk. Met welgeteld nul concerten op de teller en nul portretten van musici, is 2021 een concertjaar om snel te vergeten. Ook in 2021 schoot ik geen plaatjes op @northseajazz , @motelmozaique , @metropolisfestival , @esns.nl of @lowlands_fest. Geen foto’s van concerten of een snel portretje backstage bij bijvoorbeeld @rotownrotterdam. Dus dit keer een wenskaart met daarop een selectie van foto’s uit voorgaande jaren. Hopelijk is het eenmalig en kan ik volgend jaar weer een mooi overzicht met hoogtepunten van 2022 presenteren plus de jaarlijkse quiz ‘Noem de artiesten op de kaart’. Het moge duidelijk zijn dat ik niet kan wachten tot het moment dat we geboosterd en al dan niet met QR-code weer kunnen genieten van livemuziek in volle of desnoods niet zo volle zalen met een handjevol liefhebbers. Ik kijk er in elk geval naar uit om straks weer vooraan bij het podium te staan met mijn camera, want ik mis het ontzettend. Ik zie je daar ongetwijfeld.
