Great to see this garden finished - the brief was to include a pergola towards the end of a garden, a space for growing some vegetables, a gravel area with some grasses and a path or stepping stones. Stepping stones were matched to the paving in the patio that was to stay and clay pavers added as feature paving and lawn edging. The clients had lots of lovely plants that were retained and incorporated into the planting plan, and then followed this to plant up themselves. Looking forward to see it grow🌱. Visited this garden today to see how its developing - its on a slope, and steps up from a porcelain terrace outside the house to an area with timber sleeper raised beds, and then some paving at the end of the garden. The clients and i thought for a longtime about whether to pave or have lawn in the middle section and in the end they decided they really wanted bark. I was worried about how this would look, but it seems to work well and is a good permeable option. The fence panels work really well with the space as open at the top to let light through. So pleased that the clients love the garden.
