Mummy made playdough today, inspired by @therockandrollmama and @little_lamb_does_lunch. I put it on the tuff tray with three cookie cutters, a spiky ball, his dinosaurs and the marble rolling pin (and then immediately ordered some toddler friendly patterned rolling pins from Amazon) and watched him play. Mini man enjoyed making patterns and investigating the texture, especially how much he could stretch the playdough. Once his attention started to wane a bit I put some on his feet and we had another 10 minutes fun. Today’s homemade activity was scooping and transferring with rainbow rice! Made the rice earlier in week using tried and tested method from @lukeledlife 😊 this is the third home made activity I’ve attempted and first two weren’t nearly as successful! I made a shape matching activity for mini man. I used my Scan'n'Cut to draw a circle, square, triangle and star and to cut the same shapes from a different colour card. He does have a shape sorter but asks for a lot of help and gets very frustrated and angry when he can't get the right shape in. He needed a bit of prompting to see what this activity was about but got the hang of it quickly and clapped himself when they were correct.
