Come learn the head-spinning aerial art of Spanish Web! Essentially an aerial rope with a loop attached near the top, Spanish web is a two-person discipline with a flyer and a setter. The flyer climbs up and secures their hand, foot, or knee in the loop, and executes poses and movements on the rope. The setter spins the rope from the floor allowing the flyer to move about how they please. In this intro workshop, students will learn how to climb the rope with the help of a setter, perform a basic hand spin, and will try several tricks with a hand in the loop. Each student will also have the opportunity to try setting the rope and building a spin for a flyer. Prerequisites: Must be able to climb to the top of an aerial silk or rope. One arm hang skill on any apparatus preferred but not required. THIS IS A CASH ONLY WORKSHOP, PAY WHEN YOU ARRIVE. For ages 7 - 17 “Meeting on Mount Olympus is an opportunity for Houston’s Young performing artists to come and audition for a production based mainly around Circus arts. Students will get the opportunity to learn about everything that goes into creating a circus production and get the chance to perform on a theatrical stage! Along with Circus arts, we will also be offering singing and speaking roles. If any Young artist would like a chance to highlight their circus, singing or acting skills, this is the show for you! I’ve worked a LOT of celebrity events. But I never want a photo. I’m there to do a job. But, I got to perform at an awesome party the other night. I saw the beautiful @sakaraross1of1 and performed on my fav apparatus (silks of course), and I saw that @thealixlapri was attending the party and right by my silks.
